That's another useful thing about offsites, many of them hand out bottles of water.  I still have bottles of water I haven't opened.

I've also seen a trend of water filling stations at offsites. They even had one (with a Resident Alien skin) at CCSE.

Which year?  The little "Mr. Robot" bottles or the full size "Red Wheelbarrow"?  I still have a couple of the little ones.  Shrunken but unopened.  My Red Wheelbarrow ones I opened and used when I ran out of bottled water and had visitors that only drink bottled water.

I haven't attended since 2015, and I tried combing the forum because I know someone answered this - does anyone have a recommendation for a badge holder that is a pouch with a clear plastic window on front? I've been trying to find them, but all I get are results for printing companies that do them for conferences! I've tried searching for "travel pouch" or "badge holder" (get results for lanyards)... I know someone on here had great ones! I'm thinking of just buying an inexpensive waterproof cellphone bag with an attached lanyard and using that. Halp?

Unfortunately, those kinds of pouches are not really compatible with the SDCC badges, which are much larger than you probably realize. They do come with their own plastic pouch, but I wouldn't put much in there that's heavy, because you don't want the plastic to tear.

Plus the clear vinyl pouch that comes with the SDCC badge has the RFID tag attached to it, so it can't easily be replaced with something else.

Thanks for the advice... I now realize that the badges are a different size/orientation from when I last attended. I will just use 2 lanyards and some packing tape so things stay extra secure!

I did the tape reinforcement. You can use a piece of duct tape and then punch a hole through it for your lanyard.

Deodorant.  Consider packing one of those travel sized ones to stash in your purse or backpack.  Hand sanitizer isn't a bad idea either.  Bath and Body Works sells fruit and floral scented ones that fit in lanyards that can attach to bags so that they are handy.

Does anyone have a picture of a lanyard/badge that you used tape to reinforce?  Is it recommended to tape over the clip?
