--- Quote ---In a surprising move, Paramount Pictures has delayed the release of their upcoming G.I. Joe: Retaliation until March 29, 2013, a full nine months after its originally planned release date of June 29th.
Part of the postponement allows for the film to undergo a full 3D conversion.

I think that's a really bad sign for the movie. Do wonder if this means there might be something at Comic Con now? Maybe a panel with some new clips to get the buzz started again? Some exclusives?
Mario_c:
really? I was actually looking forward to this movie. i saw the first one ironically at first expecting it to be bad but I dug it enough to be psyched for this one.

I think it's entirely possible now to have some sort of presence at Comic-Con. I mean, take a look at the Star Trek sequel--the producers want to be at con this year to show something to the fans, and it won't be out until May of next year. All in all, you never know (until the Programming Schedule/Grid) comes out...

Billyconard:
So bummed about this. Can't believe they are delaying it almost a year. It looked so good too. I gotta believe this is solely for the 3D addition. If it was a bad movie, they'd just put it out and cut their losses. I mean - the toys are already out. Jinx is an SDCC exclusive. This will hurt sales for Hasbro. This is just dumb.
Transmute Jun:
It's possible there will be something at Con, certainly. And a delay isn't necessarily bad news. It could be that there are issues with filming or CGI, but that doesn't necessarily mean the movie will be 'bad'.
