Guys, I have something living in my attic. Or if not living there, visiting it. Loudly. Probably squirrels or a raccoon. I want to cry.

Don't cry, raccoons and squirrels are harmless. It's the serial killer that keeps them as food that should freak you out.

Update:

No one could come out until today, so I've spent the last 5 days blasting music in an attempt to 1) scare it off and 2) keep from hearing it - if I can't hear it, it's not there!

There was nothing there when they arrived. There was squirrel poo, and he could see where it came in, but luckily besides the entrance point nothing had been destroyed. There was also bat poo in the space above the garage, but apparently that can last up to 20 years, so it's possible it was from before I even moved in 6 years ago.

They set traps on the roof, and I have to look in them every day and call if something is in them. After a few weeks, they will sanitize the attic and seal up the entry point. In all it's going to cost between 900-1200 dollars (I have to pay for every animal they remove). Not really an expense I wanted, but I was afraid of thousands of dollars worth of damage, so it's not worst case. And of COURSE I had to have my propane tank filled today, too, so it's happening at the same time I'll be spending $800 on that. And I already had a plumber scheduled to come out and replace some fixtures (that's happening Wednesday) - I was also thinking about having them replace my extremely old garbage disposal, but I think now I'll hold off on that.

A very expensive November for me!

My iPad was quite old and with the new IoS updates, many apps no longer supported my device, so a couple of weeks ago I bought a new one. Today I got an email from Apple, saying that my upgrade to a new device entitled me to a free year of Apple TV+. I have to activate it within 3 months.

Just thought I'd post this here in case anyone else has purchased a new Apple device recently (or intends to on Black Friday). It's an unexpected bonus!

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has formed a production company, and one of his projects is a documentary about cons:

Also in the works for Leeds United supporters Coster-Waldau and Derrick is CONS, a documentary examining the proliferation of fan conventions, which the former certainly learned a thing or two about in his GoT career – including at San Diego Comic-Con this summer after the HBO aired its somewhat controversial series finale.

I hope it’s good!

To anyone else with an Amazon Echo, have you noticed that Alexa has gotten a lot more chipper in the last week or so?

Lol, "To get started, just say, “Alexa, introduce me to Samuel L. Jackson.” Then, choose whether you’d like Sam to use explicit language or not."

After watching the Mandalorian:  "Baby Yoda!"

The Topps website has a Star Wars Living trading card set, where they introduce two cards per week and print as many cards as they get preorders for. In the previous 50 offerings, the orders averaged 1318 copies. They brought out Baby Yoda and the orders shot to 9663.  :-\

The previous high (not counting the novelty value of the first two weeks) was 2376 for the Han Solo card. Maybe Disney now has a plan for its next off-trilogy prequel...
