So I'm seeing chatter on Twitter that OnPeak didn't give the hotels the deposits for Wondercon.  omg please do not let this be a sign of things to come for SDCC.  This is a major error and people seem to be having trouble checking in (including one of my writers).  Goodness.

I think the problem is on the hotel side of the house.

Oh? That could be good as far as OnPeak goes at least.  Different city.  Different set of hotels.  So it might not carry over. I'm seeing a lot of blame thrown at OnPeak, but it could just be people projecting since they've had issues in the past.  What makes you think it's the hotel side of things?

I called the hotel and they said that they are processing the data from OnPeak.

So We're thinking they'll send the email April 5th and sale goes on April 10th this year.
Wonder Con is March 29th - 31st

Last year they sent the email March 30th and sale was April 4th.
Wonder Con was March 23rd - 25th

A week after WC :)

In an attempt to prepare for the hotel sale, I’m looking over the hotel list from last year and need help understanding some of the red letter notes. Where it lists the column for “1 Adult/2 Beds (2 beds not guaranteed)”, does this mean you could potentially pay for a more expensive room and still show up at the hotel to find out you only get 1 bed??? Forgive me if this is a silly question to which there is an obvious answer that I am just overlooking

If you don’t get the two beds at check-in despite having a two bed reservation, they usually drop the rate down to the one bed rate and comp a rollaway... at least that’s what’s supposed to happen.

There are plenty of jobs that require employees to take their vacation during certain times of year, for example many production facilities in my area shut down for a week at July 4th and a week at Christmas for maintenance repairs. For those who only have two weeks of vacation, that is the only time they get unless they are able to work out another arrangement with the boss (which typically doesn’t get approved ). I used to work at such a place and it sucked!!

I worked at a network and we couldn’t take vacations in September because of premiers. Same with May and finales.

So I called and spoke to onpeak today regarding that my login/password was locked out. They said the login button will only work for people who made early bird hotel registrations. The system won't recognize login information from 2018.

Those seem like reasonable dates to bet on! It’s gotta be close, right?

Let me start preparing my battlestation and hope that no one bothers me at work for an hour or so!
