Im not really looking to buy alot, unless its really cheap cause im flying, but i really want to concentrate on getting my trades, graphic novels and omnibus signed and maybe a sketch or 2 ;) I think i got a good shot cause im getting there on Thursday. Hopefully that way i can get a head start :)

If I can be of any help to you guys or any other first timers, just let me know. I've been every year since Reed started and have a lot of experience with other cons too. Have you booked a room yet Supamike? There is a group of close to thirty of us staying at the Sheraton in East Rutherford, NJ. You can get rooms through priceline for $100 a night. Very close to the transit line or 15 min drive to the Javitts. They also run a shuttle to Times Square, but going to try and talk them into running it straight to the Javitts once or twice a day if there is enough interest.

Just relocated to nyc for work and I am going on Saturday. So how early do you have to line up for panels and how is it to navigate the exhibit area?

It really depends on what's on the panel schedule this year. However, no one camps out for panels, before the doors open. You should be able to get into some of the panels, early in the day.
Saturday though is usually the biggest and busiest day for panels and the show floor. If the Walking Dead is in the IGN theater, late on Saturday again, you probably want to get their at least 3 hours early. They don't clear the rooms in between panels.
