This is my own opinion only, but I wonder if this is the first step towards there being a Wondercon north and south.

That's certainly possible. Although you could also make an argument that this is the final step toward CCI consolidating its cons in Southern CA. Maybe they don't want to travel up to SF anymore?

Point is, we don't know.

I tend to agree with this. I’m not sure what the point of CCI having APE was, honestly.

APE now that it’s back in San Jose could do well to team up with Big Wow...or just eat the damn thing up, since Big Wow has had plenty of chances but its wheels seem to be stuck in the mud.

Apparently in the wake of this, there is a movement to start a new comics festival in San Francisco. Anyone interested in having their views heard can attend a town hall meeting on October 28.

I hope they are successful.  With all the attention that comic cons are getting in general right now, now is the time to start up a new one.
