Well, I officially have to go in and report for jury duty tomorrow morning. Here's hoping, for multiple reasons and not just hotelpocalypse, I don't get put on trial during the lottery.

ITS HAPPENING!

Hello!

It’s almost time to book your Comic-Con 2022 hotel room! Below you will find the link to the waiting room for Comic-Con 2022 Hotel Reservations. The waiting room will open at 8:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on Thursday, April 28, 2022, and Comic-Con 2022 Hotel Reservations will begin at 9:00 AM PDT.

Important! Downtown hotels are limited and in high demand. We encourage you to read all of the information below to increase your chances of booking your desired hotel.

Waiting Room Link: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

The Waiting Room

Beginning at 8:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on Thursday, April 28, you may access the waiting room via the link above. The time you enter the waiting room has no impact on your position in line. At 9:00 AM PDT, all users in the waiting room will be granted access to the form in random order. If you enter the waiting room after 9:00 AM PDT, you will be placed at the end of the line and your chances of getting a room will decrease.

Hotel Selection

To understand how the hotel request process works, please review the details on our Hotels page by visiting You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login. We strongly recommend that you research and make a list of the hotels you have in mind well before the sale. You may select up to six (6) downtown hotels and six (6) non-downtown hotels for a maximum request of 12 different hotels. Only one (1) hotel selection is required to submit the form. The full list of hotels is available on our Hotels page.

Phone Requests

Hotel requests may also be accepted by phone beginning at 9:00 AM PDT on Thursday, April 28, 2022. To submit your request over the phone, please call onPeak at 1-877-55-COMIC (1-877-552-6642) or 1-312-527-7300.

Thank you in advance for your participation in this year’s hotel sale.

Sincerely,
Comic-Con and onPeak

After nearly three years of not feeling that unique SDCC brand of stress, the hotel email yanked me right back into it :-\

Ooof with Hotelpocalypse back I need to re-acquaint myself with the reservation system and figure out my strategy. We're back in the trenches again, lads!

Interesting change to the form this time around: rather than picking our top six downtown hotels (with an option to pick top six non-downtown as well), now we can just pick (up to) our top twelve.

Doesn't appear rates have gone up too much which is nice.

For those that are new if you are staying additional nights it is typically cheaper to book those separately outside of the lottery. Hopefully that stays true as I've been doing that for Tue and Sun nights the last few cons and saved me some $$$

I'm assuming that the new 3% charge for each reservation only refers to confirmed reservations, right?

Ugh, I was not prepared for it this week.  I was prepared for it next week.  I was not expecting that extra dose of anxiety this week.
