Is anyone else watching this show? I can't believe the season finale is this Sunday. It's my new favorite show, and I'm sad that it's almost over already. I can't wait for season 2!

I am, well, was.

I just couldn't get into it, as much as I really wanted to.  I love the cast, but the acting and story just seem so...hollow.  There didn't seem to be any *punch* or anything of that sort, almost plodding at times.  After the first 3 I kinda gave up.

I may go back to it as I DVR'd it, when there's nothing else on TV...

It does move slowly during the first few episodes, setting things up, but it does ramp up fast near the end, give it another try Michael

I freaking love this show!  Brilliant acting.  Great plot!  Superb writing!  You get the idea.  I hope there is panel at Comic Con.

I'm one episode behind. Will probably watch it Saturday, then the season finale on Sunday.

My daughter loves Eva Green, so we've been looking forward to this show for months.  We really enjoy it! The episode with Vanessa's history is our favorite thus far.

Really wondering what Alan Moore thinks of the show since it is very close The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

It is! But considering it's using all public domain stories, it's not a surprise that we're going through some of the same stories. The steampunk elements aren't there though, and if I recall, LEG doesn't have demons, does it?

But ug, I love this show. It might be diffrent if everyone wasn't acting their asses off, but I think everyone is at the top of their game. Who knew Josh Hartnett could act that well (oops).

I watched the first episode and enjoy'd it but we do not have Showtime anymore. :-(

I am hoping Season 1 will show up on one of the streaming sites. I would probably love it, but can't justify adding Showtime just for one show. We would have to get rid of HBO, but that's not happening any time soon.

Very close; not the same.  Though LEG goes in some strange directions in the Black Dosier.  I am all over the horror aspect of this show!  Showtime usually has a big presence at Comic Con, and I am sure there will be a Penny Dreadful panel which will be a must for me.

Can't stop humming Werewolves of London.  ;)

I was hoping for a real bloodbath in the Guignol which would have kept to its name, plenty of action though.  I had my money on a different Bride but it's a nice transition and it builds on the conflict between Frankenstein and the werewolf.  Hoping for more seances, demons, and expansion of this world.

Time Warner Cable has a free Showtime preview right now, including On Demand. I know what I will be checking out!
