My SDCC-roommate got in at 9:01, submitted by 9:03, and we haven't heard anything yet, and it's 2:23pm central now.
Me too. I was in at 9:01 and no email today. The waiting game continues...

My mom, my friend, and myself all listed 6 downtown options only and selected the "closest to Con" option, and none of us have gotten emails. I was in at 9:01:57, and they were in at 9:03ish and 9:05ish.

Same boat. 6 downtown room, selected "closest to the con", in at 9:03 and no email.

Any chance your group could have been marked as duplicates? Trying to figure out if there is any rhyme or reason.

God, I hope not...that would suck. We all have different emails/phone numbers. My mom and I share a mailing address, but last year she got in first and got the MGH and I submitted after her too. At this point, I'm not sure of anything anymore.

a good friend had a duplicate submission - the number was the same as her husbands form. It was not flagged-
another friend had duplicate mailing addresses, it way not flagged.

I think it's a time stamp thing but again we're waiting for mark to look over teh data... and he might be at work too ;)

Best we stop trying to parse onPeak's logic or system since there doesn't appear to be any discernible pattern. For all we know they could have a ton of top 6 DT hotels available but just un-allocated/unannounced.

I disagree about there being no discernible pattern.  There is a pattern that MOST of people who got emails today were early admissions and got downtown hotels on their list.  There may be a few exceptions and outliers, but the pattern does exist.  It certainly wasn't random.

Yeah, same here.  I even put a different mailing address (a neighbor's) just to be sure on mine.  But now I'm wondering if that was even enough to make sure it wouldn't be flagged :\  I'm more worried for her submission since it was the earliest one.  Sigh, more waiting continues.

I can't remember, but were they ever remotely clear about what could make a submission be marked as a duplicate? Because I understand phone #, e-mail (maybe address), but it's pretty easy to have the same name as another person or something else similar? Then again, a lot of people haven't gotten an e-mail from that timeframe and we don't know (necessarily) if they also submitted, other, future submissions and if they used completely different information as well.

I think all we have are are guesses. What you stated is reasonable, but who knows how OnPeak actually detects duplicates. I was so paranoid about it that when my sis and I submitted, we used different mailing addresses and even different names (I used her middle name, she used mine), so that there was nothing the same in our forms except a common last name.

This seems to be happening late this year, which adds to my anxiety.  There was nothing happening, now finally---everything is happening, and we are already in May.
It is 2024, and I am still asking...where's my flyin' car??!! @fannishmarcia

Gosh, Mark...trying to work like a responsible person...geez.  ;)

I have to start sometime ;) I actually am at work but in all day meetings so I've been able to make some posts. Unfortunately, it'll be my turn to present in a few minutes and I'll be out of commission for a while.
