Hilarious!!!  Well, I guess no good deed goes unpunished or something like that...

Seriously this forum is so helpful and genuine the idea its some sort of massive bartering scam is laughable.

See the funny thing is, if they found me and the other member, we legitimately traded each other our hotel rooms. He got the hotel I wanted, and I was able to get the hotel he wanted. We traded and are both happy. I don't see how that's a cult. It's not like we profited, or anything off of each other.

Wow...I've never been part of a cult before. No one told me the secret handshake...

We don't just have a special handshake. We have a special meeting room too. It's located at the Programming Premiums room inside the Manchester Grand Hyatt ;)

Ok so I have a room booked for Tuesday-Tuesday at Bayfront. Went online and got cheaper rates for Tuesday and then again for Sunday-Tuesday. I called Hilton to see if I can combine my 3 reservations to avoid  changing rooms 3 times. The chick was so not helpful and I got "disconnected "from her lol. I don't think they have the reservations from onpeak yet with our info. Guess I will try to combine them at check in. I'm also nervous to change any dates through on peak. What if the Hilton changes the rates or something. I don't want to lose my reservation. So stressful lol.

I spoke with OnPeak yesterday, and they're sending the reservations to the hotels on July 7th, so you could try to call the hotel around then to merge.

I actually just booked an extra day (Tuesday) at the Omni, directly through their website, but I booked two beds, whereas my OnPeak reservation has one bed (I idiotically chose "Double" instead of "Twin"). I'm hoping to call them and try to keep the two beds.

Loved your last post. I was worried nobody would help me with a hotel cause some of my posts I feel like rubbed people the wrong way. But I sure as heck don't intend to rub people the wrong way. This reddit poster is knowingly trying to rub people the wrong way. They kind of deserve what they got.

Do we get to meet up at the 5th Ave. train crossing with black-on-yellow signs and a portable microphone & speaker? Because I want a portable microphone & speaker.

I'm looking at booking Tues/Sun at the MMM through their site. Does anyone know which rooms have the best view of the convention center (and the bay, if possible) - city view or bay view? Not sure how it works with multiple towers.

Also, if I book a room with a balcony for those two days and merge it with the OnPeak reservation, will they make us change rooms or charge extra?

(Sorry if this is off topic.)

Similar to you, I have MMM Wednesday - Sunday and bought an extra Tuesday.  The Tuesday reservation is Bay view with a balcony. I'd love to keep that for the entire stay.  OnPeak reservations don't specify a side of the hotel.  Calling them before I arrive.

I added my name to the Hotel request document just in case someone has a reservation at Hotel Indigo they don't need. We started going to SDCC 2012 & we've been lucky enough to stay there 4 times. in our group of four only one received an email on May 1. She got Westin Gaslamp (the one next to the post office) & is booking it as a backup. On May 8 I'll post if we receive our choice, otherwise we'll be offering up what we can.
Hope I'm doing this all correctly. Thank you!!
