Sweet holy lol at that reddit thread.
I'm feeling quite cultish today, I must say...
It does make you stand a little taller, doesn't it? For the first time in my life, I feel like a cool kid ;D
I'm calling stubborn pride LOL. I really need to change my usernames and make them more conspicuous. It's too easy to tell who I am. I need more anonymity on the interwebs
I miss one day reading the forum and we're a cult....where do I take the oath, what's the secret handshake and do we get those cool decoder key rings? ;D
Do not mention decoder ring! I'm a HUGE "A Christmas Story" fan, and always wanted one of those Little Orphan Annie decoder rings that Ralphie had in the movie. Yes, I'm a huge nerd right now. But whatever.
NARP tried that was called on it.

I mean, the person has a sliver of a valid point... it would probably be fairer if each request was linked to member ID and non-transferrable (although not non-refundable). But it's buried under such an avalanche of paranoia and vitriol that it's hard to take them seriously.
(though I would say that I'm not sure if their initial process of allocating rooms is "fair" - so whether a heavier reliance on that process is more or less fair, who actually knows)
I'm looking at booking Tues/Sun at the MMM through their site. Does anyone know which rooms have the best view of the convention center (and the bay, if possible) - city view or bay view? Not sure how it works with multiple towers. Also, if I book a room with a balcony for those two days and merge it with the OnPeak reservation, will they make us change rooms or charge extra?(Sorry if this is off topic.)
