I booked thur-sun with the waitlist email but I need a room for wednesday. Can you book multiple hotels with the same waitlist link? I just don't want them to cancel one of my reservations.

I did the same thing too.
Hopefully, we can keep logging back in to check.... not holding my breath about it tho.
What time is it that you have to cancel a hotel res today?

I think its 11:59.

I'm set, but 2 people in our group were trying to get downtown. Of course, (little vent here) they didn't confirm if they wanted us to grab them something and they aren't responding to texts or on the FB group. So, now they still aren't downtown. I'm like why am I doing all the leg work y'all? People need to contribute to getting their own room. *SIGH*
Do these tacos taste funny to you?

Anyone need the link to the waitlist? I know I am a bit late to the game (woke up late) but I can PM the link to anyone who needs it.

Booked Springhill Suites Downtown/Bayfront. 2 Queens and sofa bed. Very happy. I stayed at the Springhill Suites in Mission Valley last year. Long shuttle ride and wait, but hotels was only a few months old and very nice.

I did verify that it is the attendee and waitlist are pulled from the exact same inventory, and the link requires no password.

So this is more like the open hotel sale than a waitlist.

My friend got a waitlist email with a link. This is what she saw at 8:40 am Pacific. Red dot is available, grey dot is sold out.

Just try to book directly with the hotel.

I would suggest that you keep checking as this is live inventory and people may be cancelling their reservations.
Especially if they got a closer room.

I got the Wyndham Bayside with 2 beds, it's about 1.3 miles away.

I actually was trying for the Westin and other closer hotels but once I filled out all the info, it said someone else already took it. And yeah, I had to get my password resent to me (even though I never had an account before).

Have a hostel room as a backup that is 0.3 miles away from the convention center, but I think I'm going to let it go because as nice as it is so close, I would really like a whole bed to myself and having a private bathroom.

I was just thinking, why call it waitlist when it clearly isn't? Onpeak needs to call it a hotel resale!

I feel cursed--if I'd gotten to work by 8:00 as usual, I would have gotten in immediately, but of course TODAY traffic was really bad and I didn't get in until 8:15. By the time I got in, Handlery and Day's Inn were unavailable (top choices because cheap), and I tried to go for Hampton Inn Downtown, but had the same thing happen with being prompted to sign into an account and then being kicked back to the main page, by which time it was sold out! So, I went for Town & Country. Ughh... sorry, just wanted to vent.

I'm gonna guess that everyone has noticed the inventory changing pretty quickly.  While on the site, after pressing F5 the inventory changed and the Omni popped up but did not have availability for Fri-Sat.  Kelly and I both took the day off work and we'll just be planted in front of our computers for the day. Kelly is using the map and that also updates with changes.  Easier to see what's available by the red markers vs the gray ones.  Good luck everyone!
