How would they know?  :D

It probably has more to do with how many keycards they’ll give you.

Hi Guys,

This is my first SDCC and have a question about rooms that say double, triple or quad occupancy that all offer 2 beds.

If i have double occupancy 2 beds, does that mean i'm only allowed to have 2 people in the room or can i still have 4 people sharing the double beds?

What is your experience with this?

Thanks.

Go with the amount of ppl you want, its impossible to follow, there's just too many ppl around

From personal experience, I don't think most hotels care. I stayed at the Hard Rock one year in a regular queen room since I only listed 2 people when in reality there were 4 of us. I even requested 4 hotel key cards upon check-in and the front desk people didn't bat an eye. Repeated the same thing at the Omni last year and they didn't care. I think most hotels are aware that room occupancy isn't as accurate during SDCC since it's so cutthroat.

I actually called a bunch of hotels last year, and many of them said it was the same price no matter the number of people.  So, it could be that, too.

The hotel I'm in has different prices for double, triple and quad occupancy and I don't want to put anyone out if I look for 2-3 roommates and they don't allow more than 1 if it comes time to check-in.

But I trust that you guys have more experience with this, so thank you for the advice, everyone :)

I would if you are 3/4, just make a reservation for 2 and check in alone that should be enough

Does anyone know the process for adding a hotel reward points number to your onpeak reservation? I thought in years past there was a field to input that information, but I can't seem to find it. Maybe have to call?

There is a field to enter your rewards number on the form where you pay the deposit, after that you can call the hotel once you have your hotel confirmation number.
Even after that you should always double check that they applied your number correctly when you check-in.

Has anyone had any experience with OnPeak canceling a hotel in error? I tried to book a hotel this morning and then received an e-mail saying I canceled it, and the deposit was charged. I never canceled it. I've tried calling, and the rep said they'd get back to me.

Had anyone had anything like this happen? Am I just going to be out the 2 nights deposit?

Did the e-mail have any notes? Sometimes when they cancel it they put a name of the rep who canceled it. Did the e-mail have any odd notes attached?

It actually has my name as the one who canceled it, but I didn't...? I didn't even realize it until I saw a weird second e-mail appear in my inbox.

And when I called, the room had already been booked to someone else. Kind of really bummed to lose both a room and that deposit...
