i'm not so big on using the McFarlin saturation levels on all colors LOL but using black as a background color is appealing

That's what they did for the Batman animated series:  instead of drawing on white paper, they drew on black paper to give it a darker feel.

That show was so frickin good.

Having a Kirby original would be really something.. Someday..

I haven't bought much in the way of pages recently, but I snagged a bunch of Josh Adams (son of Neal) pages when he was selling them at SDCC 2015.  Being a huge Whovian, I couldn't resist.  :)

Got a question:  Anyone know the issue name/number for an issue of Cap:  With a whit background and he is facing forward with his lower body is amorphous in swirls and more detail towards his head?

I saw this once and can't find it again.  Thanks in advance.

Just saw this question. Only cover I can think of is this

Doesn't quite match though ...

Meanwhile, pop culture continues its unrelenting assault on my wallet, IDW's Kirby FF Artist's Edition drops in a few days. Cheapest I have seen it so far is $99.

yeah [member=4270]mark[/member]
that AA FF Kirby is going to be mine... it was on my christmas list but the silly people felt the need to have something under the tree

where did you find it for $99?  i've only found it for $135- Plus the suggested retail price isn't even listed yet... I'm thinking the SR price will be $150 & locking in at $99 is a good idea. as long as shipping isn't stupid expensive.

There's actually a $2.99 shipping option that comes up for me, don't know how long it would take. Plus a faster $9.99 one.

This came out today, Death Of Hawkman #6 Variant by Sienkiewicz. Hoping he has a print of this at some point.

Sinkowitz... Siccowwitz... Sycnh-cow-witz is one of those artists that folks don't get... Right up until the moment that they do.  (Paraphrased from Hannibal)  :)

Took me years to see how good his stuff is, but I'm slow.  :)

Bachalo is kind if the same way.

I recently discovered Coipel, Immonen, and Pichelli.  They are all great with some similar style aspects in my opinion.  Love Coipel's X-Men (Women) #1 cover and interiors.

Any Simone Bianchi fans out there?  Check out Wolvie 311.

Update:  Oooooooo!  I forgot Coipel's Amazing Spidey run. Good stuff.

Oh heck yeah, Coipel's Spidey stuff is superb.  He is one of the few artists that I will just continually pull old issues out of the box and just get inspired by!  I'll have to check out Wolverine 311!    Coipel also did House of M and The Siege if you haven't seen those.  ;)

Yup, got those Coipel titles.  Whenever I find an artist I like, I comicbookdatabase them and hit the dollar bins hard.  :)
