Ooh, that's a good one! It starts off slow, but grows on you.

Game of Thrones!

Yesterday ws the 20th anniversary of the first book! I already have 3 copies of it, looks like I'll probably be picking up another.

A Game of Thrones: The Illustrated Edition: A Song of Ice and Fire: Book One comes out in October.

Still binging on old scifi/fantasy mags, great stuff. Only problem is that they are full of reviews and mentions of other books that I now want to read.

I started re-reading Anne McCaffrey's You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login on my flight home. It's all about the emergence of people with different abilities (telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance, etc.) and their integration into society. The first book starts off strong before spiraling off into nothingness; I sold my copy, and I never sell books. You can probably get by with the recap at the start of book 2.

After finishing that I moved onto the Tower and the Hive series, which is set later in the same universe. It's interesting for the first few books and then starts getting weird

, much like the Ender's Game series. I've yet to finish the series as a whole.

Also, because I mentioned it, the You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login. I'd recommend reading by publication date, not chronological order.

I like that one! It's a slow burn, which I enjoy. And the abandoned bank setting was really creepy and different

The Expanse series by James S A Corey has been fantastic so far.
I am planning on starting this hopefully this week.
What are you, Worf? Do you tremble and quake with fear at the approach of combat? Hoping to talk your way out of a fight like a Human? Or do you hear the cry of the warrior, calling you to battle, calling you to glory like a Klingon?
