I passed on it, but my friends who went loved it.  Do you remember if the price is the same as last year?
In 2013 it's $78 for walkers or runners, $25 for spectators, or $130 for 'hero' zombies.  Is this the same or more than 2012?

If anyone wanted to do a zombie run I would suggest this one. Stan let's comikaze had one this past year and it kind of sucked. The zombies looked pretty ghetto. The only bad thing is the price.

i remember someone told me it was really small and resembled a paint ball course, with inflatables and stuff

Ya and the zombie's make up was done in the parking lot. They had some "wanna-be" walkers outside with everyone waiting to go in. They needed to work on their walker skill and maybe practice before showing up. Just saying.

I did it last time and though it was pretty fun, it was definitely to much of a novelty to do it again.  Especially for how much it cost!

Didn't you get the variant of walking dead 100 last year for doing it?

Yes, they gave out a variant for issue 100 and a mini poster for SDCC:

I do now know if they had giveaways for other locations.

I would say do one during the day if you can, we did the last group of the night and it felt like the zombies were just phoning it in at that point.  Like they had already been in costume for a few hours and were probably dragging, no pun intended, at that point.  It was still a cool experience, but that money could possibly be better spent within the con.

Yeah, it sounds like a lot of fun, and everyone I talked to (runners, zombies, & hero zombies) had a blast.  But it would be hard for me to justify spending that much on something like that.  Think of the exclusives $78 (the 'standard' price for runners or regular zombies in 2013) could buy.  Or the back issues of comics, or great sketches, etc.  I get that it's super expensive to rent out Petco Park (though I would bet AMC or someone writes it off as advertising expenses), and if there's a demand, why not?  Just not for me at that cost.

I do love hearing the stories & watching iPhone videos of it though!
