Oh ouch, it FINALLY occurred to me that I'm scheduled to be in the law library every Saturday through April 2nd from 8am-12:30pm. So of course this means I most likely won't be available to do General Reg myself or micromanage my group through it. If I'm lucky, I'll just be doing research vaguely at my leisure and will be online for it, kind of.

I guess the day it happens it'll be time to see if my group sinks or swims without me there breathing down their necks >.>

Just logged into the Member ID page - it now says:
 
"Your account is currently locked for changes until Open Registration is complete. For important information on Open Registration, please review the "Registration Info" tab."

There is also now a Registration Code listed. 

I don't know why my heart is beating so fast I already have my badges.  But I am trying to help my sister and niece and a friend get badges so I'm nervous for them. :)

FWIW yesterday after the Member ID system re-opened after "maintenance" I tried to set up a new Member ID for a friend and when I did it said he was NOT eligible for General Registration 2016.

So essentially everything is locked in/ready to go: my guess is next weekend

That's definitely unusual.  A month ago would have been well in the cut-off range for eligible Member IDs for general registration, especially since they updated the system yesterday.

I hope you get a fast and positive reply from CCI.  Please keep us updated.

I know! This is catastrophic because we would be sharing a room! (Since dollar skyrocketed, for us Mexicans it literally now costs double to visit the US, in comparison to last year).
So, if this is permanent, I'm going to have to ask for a refund on my 4 day passes. Just horrible.
Have you heard of CC making an exception in these cases?

Luthien, explain the issue to CCI. Perhaps forward them a copy of the confirmation email from the day your friend made the account? When there is a genuine mistake, CCI, is usually very good about helping.
