Most of my square receipts show between 7.5-8%. Most were at 7.75%

Got 7.75 from Bandai and Udon.  Interestingly enough, J. Scott Campbell didn't charge tax.  Maybe it was already included in the cost.  I got tax and a foreign transaction fee from Camilla D'Errico since she's based in BC, haha.  Guess that offsets not getting charged by Campbell.

Yea, a few places I went to also didn’t charge sales, guessing it’s baked into the price. I do know a few artists and small vendors waived the sales tax if you paid cash.

That's very interesting. I've seen that from some 'big' booths where they don't want to deal with the time involved with a cash transaction (because there is a big line) but smaller vendors always love cash. I also like to have cash with me, because there have been many times when the wifi was bad no the Exhibit Floor and the vendors could not get their credit card processors to work.

I did note that the chocolate bar stand outside B20 only took credit cards.

It really depends on where the vendor is domiciled as the tax rate is  programmed into the merchant service device/card reader.

I was at one of the big artist’s booths on Thursday, and they were selling high-end signed comics, prints, sketchbooks. They were officially accepting cash, but they didn’t have any money in the till to make change…
