What do you do?
TravT77:
I'm new here and this is my first time creating a new thread in a forum, so let's see how this goes
I see a lot of posts alluding to the careers of members here, which has me curious just what everyone does for a living.
So my question is: "What do you do for a living?" (Company names not required, just line of work)
I'll start, I am a Nuclear I&C Technician. Basically I calibrate/repair instrumentation in nuclear power plants.

Ugh my browser does not want to cooperate w/me today... I am a director for a local (but nationwide) consulting group and I run their "Content, Collaboration and Cloud" practice, with a specific focus on the Microsoft technologies in that space, like SharePoint (on-premises) and Office 365 (cloud). I also run a user group out of the local Microsoft office that focuses on those same technologies. So every time someone here says "I'll make a Google doc for that" a little piece of me dies :( j/k :) Next!

I have a really glamorous job in the accounts payable office of a municipal government. Basically, I review and enter invoices for payment, get mad at employees for paying sales tax, and I also do all the travel approvals and expense reconciliations for City employees (keep your receipts!).
Not really a dream job, but I like it, it's pretty stress-free (most of the time), and steady. I used to work in the City's utility billing office. I was the person who decided whose water got shut off. It was... not pleasant.
