Cosplay images from WonderCon 2016
« on: March 30, 2016, 02:02:01 PM »
Greetings everyone. I took a great many photos at WonderCon 2016 and am posting them on my cosplay page:

I really enjoy cosplaying; the artistry, ingenuity and creativity, so I like sharing images of other cosplayers on my page. On Friday, I was Mace Windu, on Saturday I was Future Static Shock and on Sunday I was Morpheus from the Matrix. Perhaps some of you saw me.

I'm still sifting through the images as I captured a smidge over 400, so I will post more throughout the week as I have time.

[member=3102]sylent_asassin[/member]: I love your facebook profile photo with you as Morpheus in the "Captain's chair."  That is just too awesome.  ^__^

Nice.  Did anyone complain about having their picture taken?  I've had that happen.

Nice.  Did anyone complain about having their picture taken?  I've had that happen.

I'm always respectful, ask first and avoid taking shots of people resting and eating as it's a smidge disrespectful. If there's a crowd that's already formed, I'll join in with the other photographers since permission has already been granted. Every now and then, I'll get an "elitist" cosplayer with an attitude, to which I just turn my back and walk away. It takes a great deal of courage for someone to ask for a photo, and to be a jerk about it is rude and completely unwarranted. I'm always happy to take photos with con attendees. I always say, "if you don't want the responsibility, take off the costume." Simple as that.

Every now and then, I'll have someone tell me, "Oh, I have to go!" or give me a 10 second diatribe on what they have to do and where they have to be, when they could have stood still for 3 seconds and I would have captured the picture. LOL Whatever...

Your pics and cosplay are super fun!  I know you have such fun playing characters like Morpheus.  It so great to have red and blue 'pills' to give out.  I have never done cosplay and admire those who do.  You add so much.  Thank you.
It is 2024, and I am still asking...where's my flyin' car??!! @fannishmarcia

Thanks! Cosplay, for me, is always a saving grace, especially if the show is bad and key guests cancel. I have an absolute blast cosplaying and always try to make sure con attendees that ask for photos have a great experience.

Funny thing- after a lady asked to take my photo at WonderCon, she asked for a hug... with my wife standing right next to me. LOL! After the lady asked, I looked at my wife who said, "oh, go ahead!" Ha haha ha!! Afterwards, I told her, "THIS is why I cosplay!" :D

How neat!  And you know what? The lady who received that hug will remember that hug and you... forever.  I mean, who gets hugged by Morpheus?!
