Any word on an Orphan Black panel?
-
Nothing yet but I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

They will be displaying Orphan Black fan art in the BBC America booth. http://orphanblack.tumblr.com/post/88004225836/comic-con-international-san-diego-2014-is-coming
No word yet on if the cast will be attending, but I'm betting on yes!
-
Looking at the map the booth has moved and might be bigger than in previous years. It was a very popular booth last year.
-
I was at a recent awards show and spoke with Tatiana for a few minutes. She said "see you at comic con", not sure if that's confirmation but it seemed as if she believed she would be there. ;)
-
Seeing that it's more popular, I wouldn't rule out B20. Sorry Angel=D
-
*cries* but if it's in b20 on Thursday then I'm already there so I'll be happy.

I talked to the show runner for OB last year at the BBC booth and they did not anticipate the large attendance numbers for their panel. I think their marketing people must have been asleep in the planning room because I think we all would have told them to get a bigger room.
I do not want to be a downer but I do not anticipate a jump to BR20 but they should be a much larger room - just a hunch.
-
The panel is in Room 6A on Friday at 6 p.m. Any thoughts on this? I don't have any experience with this room.

It is very small. There will be a line so get there early.
-
Gonna try to make this one for sure
-
Ridiculous not to put Orphan Black in a larger room. Vikings is right before it and that has an equally large following (possibly larger), so a good portion of the room might empty out. Still, I bet the line is long. Even Banshee right after it has a loyal following. I actually like all three shows, but am going to have to reluctantly (very reluctantly) pass on them this year.
-
I'm going to try to make this but I've got a press thing for Dominion that ends only an hour before this starts. Not sure if I'll be there in time to get into the room. And no offense to Orphan Black, but talking with the cast and creators of Dominion takes priority. Sorry Clone Club. :(
I'm hoping all the other huge stuff happening that day, especially in Hall H and Ballroom 20, takes some of the pressure off of this room so I can get in with only an hour between events.
-
I think it all depends upon how many Vikings fans are cross-over Orphan Black fans and how many Orphan Black fans sit through the earlier panels. I do expect the room to be absolutely packed for Vikings, but then I expect a good number will leave when that panel ends. That's probably you're best shot at getting in.
-
This is at the same time as the Sleepy Hollow panel, right next door :'( And it's only 2hrs after Marvel TV panel/1hr after the Bob's Burgers panel gets out.
But..like...Clones.
These hard choices are killing me! ugh

It's ironic that we all wish we had clones of ourselves so we could attend the panel about clones...

Funny and true.

This is my top priority on Friday, although I'm going to try for Game of Thrones as well

I'm going to miss An Evening with Kevin Smith and possibly the Arrow panel for this! But I can't miss it, love Orphan Black so much.
Any ideas what I should expect in terms of the line?

Very, very busy, and probably not much turnover, sadly. Get in line early.

Really? For Orphan Black? I was expecting huge lines for Hall H, but I heard Orphan Black wasn't really well known in the US and that the back rooms don't usually have lines?
Or did you think I was asking about Hall H? I just realised my previous post was a bit ambiguous.
-
Orphan Black was very popular last year. I expect it will be this year too. Gonna be hard to get in with Vikings being the panel before it and in a smaller room. 6A only holds 1,000 people.
-
Don't underestimate the lines for some of the back rooms. Some of them can also get quite long on occasion. No, not camp out overnight long, but for something like Orphan Black I wouldn't try showing up just before the panel starts. It is possible that some people will leave after Vikings. Also, while the fan base may not be huge, the panel after Orphan Black, Banshee, also has a loyal following.
-
I will probably miss it if I get in line after GoT, won't I?
-
Thanks for the heads up! Was not expecting that - could've been a disaster. I might head over an hour or two early.
imcla - based on what they said above I reckon you'll be fine. GoT panel goes until 3pm and Orphan Black isn't until 6pm, but I'm unqualified to be answering your question really haha.
-
Don't get in line too early - some of us want to get into Bates Motel ;)
-
There are already 1,227 people listed as attending on the comic-con website (I know that isn't a formal count or anything), and Room 6A only holds 1040 (http://au.ign.com/blogs/mentok1/2012/07/06/san-diego-comic-con-room-capacities). :(

Yeah, that's probably not a good sign. That means 1227 people have added this to My Schedule and are planning to try and attend. Some will change their mind, but many many more will try to attend that don't use My Schedule. It's a good indicator they booked this into the wrong room (again).
-
That's a bummer! But I'm glad the series is getting love at SDCC even if it didn't from the Emmys.

Oh no, this will require adjustments to what time I'm planning to arrive.
Also are you from Sydney? Good to see other Australians making the trip to SDCC!
