This is different from HopCon right?  Because HopCon is on the 23rd and this is the 26th yes?  I want to do HopCon and while 2 geeky beer events sounds grand I might opt for the other instead.

When do the tickets for Hop Con go on sale?

Zod1966 - Excellent!  I'm so happy there will be fellow Forum friends there!  I'll be the one carrying my Lil Wil Wheaton doll, wait, I'll be one wearing my cape from The Big Bang Theory swag bag we got last year, wait, I'll be the one wearing glasses, HAHA!  I know, I'll be the one wearing my Friends of CCI Lanyard, yes, that's the way to recognize nerds in the wild!

After the Great American Beer Festival a few times these kinda don't stack up, but not saying they are not fun. Usually buy tickets last minute.

I've been to the GABF and while it is truly an awesome experience, I like the smaller festivals better as they really showcase and support the local breweries...like it says in your sig.  ;D
Plus getting tickets to GABF is even harder than SDCC...unless you use scalpers of course.

:o   Badwolf, for example, seems pretty resilient to me from her posts.

Tread lightly with the booze whilst at the show.  (And always take a cab.)

Fair warning has been called.

Good advice. I maybe should mention I spent 4 years living in Australia and those people like to DRINK so over the years I perfected the ultimate hangover cure. It's a specific combination of water, caffeine, painkiller and vitamin B.

Will you be handing those out as we stumble out of the Heroes Brewfest exit?   :D

last year this conflicted with my run at the WD escape, but then i ended up skipping WD escape to go to panels. I am VERY tempted to do the brewfest this year.

Is it usually better to show up during the beginning of the tastings? I'm hoping to swing by after the con closes but am afraid that 1) they'll run out of beer or 2) it'll get too crowded.

I think it closes at 7 so it would be hard to come by after the con and have it be worth the money

We stopped going because of ticketmaster.  I goto a couple of our local events.  Too many good breweries in SD.

Bumping this to activity because things are starting to happen! Just bought our tickets for the Brewfest, and am planning to see about Wootstock as well!

Bumping this up again since other off-site events are starting to appear... anyone else going so far besides Birmabang and me?
