Aliens reunion planned for Comic-Con

"Happy 30th anniversary, you b***h!

July 18 will mark three decades since James Cameron’s Aliens was released in theaters - which is only a little over half the time Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley spent in hypersleep after the nightmare events of 1979’s Alien. In Cameron’s sequel, she awoke to learn her old life was gone — and new life in the form of a pioneer colony had sprung up on the empty planet where she and the deceased crew of the Nostromo encountered the hyper-predatory Xenomorph.

It was not enough time for the two species to learn to live in harmony.

To commemorate the release of the 1986 action/sci-fi classic, EW can reveal that San Diego’s Comic-Con will host an Aliens reunion on Saturday, July 23. Both Cameron and Weaver will participate in the Q&A in the 6,500-seat Hall H, along with producer Gale Anne Hurd, Bill “Game Over” Paxton, Lance Henriksen, Paul Reiser, Michael Bien, and the all-grown-up Carrie Henn."

30th anniversary panel on my 30th birthday.  Nice.

Alien isn't one of my top fandoms but I'd be certainly happy to watch the panel wth all the other stuff that day.

Edit: I'm an idiot, Siggy will be there.

They had one of these at Comicpalooza and it was awesome. No James Cameron at that one, but most everyone else. It was a real treat. This one will be longer too, so even better. Enjoy!

I need to post the pictures from the panel.

Ok, I was not thinking on doing Hall H, but seeing this, I may change my mind and do it. If possible of course. Lol

YES YES YES YES YES!!!!
I saw this film as a 9 year old opening weekend in theaters: it blew me away then, it continually blows me away now (though ALIEN is probably a better horror/haunted house-type film, ALIENS is a superb action/'Nam-alagory type film).  I was hoping there would be a panel like this, and hoping even more it would be in Hall H on Saturday.
I'm officially hyped, and anything I said before about waiting in lines all day/night is now thrown out the window (though BUCKAROO BANZAI reunion will be my backup). Only wish Jenette Goldstein would be there, but really there are absolutely zero complaints about this panel.  ZERO!
(now I wonder if some of these folks may pop up at the ALIENS screening the week of Comic-Con downtown - was that Balboa Theater?)

Not at all  :) I was wondering if there had been some additional news. SW being there changes it from something I'd wait in line for to something I'd wait in line standing on hot coals for.
