BBC America presents the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary panel featuring Doctor Who stars Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman, award-winning lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, An Adventure in Space and Time star David Bradley, and award-winning writer/executive producer Mark Gatiss. The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special will premiere November 23, on BBC America. As part of the celebrations in November, An Adventure in Space and Time will tell the story of the genesis of Doctor Who, with David Bradley starring as the first ever Doctor, William Hartnell.
Sunday July 21, 2013 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Hall H

I know there isn't an exact rhyme or reason to when panels and signings will be, but from past schedules, does anyone know when any Doctor Who events(panels and signings, etc) happen? If I do score tickets I would love to know what days I should get if I can only get 1 or 2 :D

No idea if there are Doctor Who panels this year. I don't remember any Doctor Who panel, but I'm not a big fan of it.

About the days... that's a lottery... you don't know what panels are in which day... they are announced afterwards.

> All the big ones are usually on Friday and Saturday.

"All... usually" those don't match really well. I have seen big panels also on Thursday and Sunday... But the "core" is Friday and Saturday... also because they are the only 2 days with full schedule of panels. (BR20 starts thursday afternoon)

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought that the past couple of years Dr. Who has been on Sunday in Hall H?

I ran into the Doctor in a hotel lobby last year.  I got his autograph for the wrong friend of mine because my memory sucks, but I did get his autograph.    :o

Last year they had the SDCC panel and signing on Sunday. Carol Skinner signed in the BBC America booth Saturday. Nerd HQ had the 3 stars in a panel on Saturday night. Also there was a special fan meet up where the stars dropped in as a surprise for a few minutes.

They only signed at the official SDCC signing. Last year was my first year at SDCC and judging by the interest I have seen it will only grow.

It was on Sunday in 2011 too.  I was there!  I camped out all night in Hall H for it.  Definitely going to do it again if it happens this year.  I hope they put it on the same day as Supernatural like they have the past two years because I love both shows and would rather spend the night on the cold hard ground for Hall H as little as possible.

This is a long shot, but have you tried the Marriott in the Gaslamp? I think there are also Marriott hotels on the shuttle route in MIssion Valley and at the airport.

I've been checking for a while and unfortunately the closest hotel with a decent rate with my discount is in tijuana...and I dont like the idea of crossing the border every day to save a buck.

I will keep checking though, as i never know what will show up :)
