It's great to see so many exclusives this year! JMHO, but the increase in exclusives tells me that WonderCon is getting more attention in its own right, and is moving away from its reputation as the 'poor relation' of SDCC.

It's more than I thought there would be.

Significantly less than Mega Con or Emerald City Comic Con. Odd that Wondercon seems a little weaker all around this year versus last considering last year was such a rush job.

I am holding out hope that this weak batch of exclusive means there will be a great slat for SDCC.

I'm starting to have wonders myself now. I tried keeping a positive outlook on the whole Disney take over, but I'm starting to get scared now. Guess I need to free up some of my SDCC funds to get my D23 badges.

IDK; I've been spoiled by CCI for a long time, and I kinda thought last year's WonderCon exclusives were meager compared to Comic-Con.  I wonder if WonderCon being Easter weekend screwed up plans for vendors, exhibitors, etc.

I am really curious as to why Marvel is not attending WonderCon, though: the logical part of me can kind of buy into the Easter weekend theory, but the cynical part of me thinks conspiracy.
The good news for people thinking of going to D23 Expo is that the price only goes up $5 a day in June, so you can always wait to see what SD Comic-Con looks like before dropping the $$ on passes.  Also, FWIW, the last expo it was really only worth it to go on Saturday if you're not a huge Disney fan-person.  If you're going for upcoming movie panels and the higher-profile stuff, it was all on Saturday.

For me, I'm bitter about Disney's cash grabbing - not only pulling out of CCI, which I kinda understand from a business standpoint, but their pricing is crazy: my 11 year old son goes to Comic-Con for free, but has to pay nearly $50 or one day of D23?!  Also, For the full Expo price for an adult is $16 MORE than Comic-Con, with one full less day, and not nearly the amount of awesome panels as Comic-Con.  I like Disney, and I've been a Disneyland Annual Passholder for about five years now, but a billion dollars a year corporation cashing in at the expense of a non-profit organization is too annoying to go to.  I'll save all of my money for CCI & read about D23 online after-the-fact.  Besides, Disney gets enough of my money every year anyway

Tell me about it. Have to pay for me, my wife, and two daughters. I'm hoping the lack of Marvel and Lucas is because of Easter weekend.
