While the Hasbro Toy Shop is a separate store from the booth displays you are seeking, the booth does free giveaways such as posters and signings!

A cool box display w/Dr. Aphra, Triple Zero, Beetwee would be awesome! I'm not into the extended universe/non-movie stuff but those characters have been a lot of fun to follow in the comics!

They like circle the area kinda and try to collect more then one at a time. i saw at like dc booth area a guy pass out something and these guys was all over him as if didnt get one or try get more then one of what he had from what i saw. i ask if can have another , i dont just grab so many as in be greedy. and saw pics somebody post of people try get fox poster tubes and it looks like nuts as if they didnt wanna just walk up to booth and ask they was like surrounding the booth as everyone try reach for any as if not gonna get one at anytime. im sure not everyone is a vulture lol, but i have seen it happen. a guy was give away shirts and bam people were grabbing cause fear not get any at any time. years ago i never seen this happen, but now with twice the traffic it just shocks me how people can be sometimes.

Hasbro booth has a monitor for the giveaway times for posters and signings.
If you're into TF, MTG, Marvel the toy designers and creators have been there. Most of the signings in the past haven't been capped so you can feasible make a few runs.

Here's hoping HasbroToyShop has a fast lane promotion this year!
https://twitter.com/ParksAndCons/status/887852398768644100?s=19
-
Do u gotta have a certain kinda phone to do this or was u able to go to the booth and get sorted out there?
-
Not sure if they'll offer again. Last year, after you made the purchase (either online or at booth kiosk), a booth stop was required the next day to pick up the pass. That adds a premium to get into HTS booth, which had a separate, fast lane, but we were able to avoid camping Thursday night to buy on Friday.
-
Checking the links again, i think i remember seeing one of those flyers at time. but was not sure about so didnt try check it out any.

Just looked at the Hascon website... looks like they are skipping 2018. The next has con isn't til sept 2019 and tickets don't go on sale til early 2019. https://hascon.hasbro.com/
-
Seeing how there are so many different cons now, i guess it gives them more time to plan and show new stuff at any con at any time. im lucky i can go to any close by at anytime. so i check out what i can at the time.

@cabler30
Since we have not seen any actual exclusives, I think we are just actually trying to guess and share info about the actual Shop processes, buying toys and collectibles. They haven't been cheap!
Likewise, online sales have been better (more plentiful IMO) than in the past.
-
It seems like in general, exclusives reveals have been a bit slow out of the gate this year -- and that includes Hasbro. Hoping the reveals start to pick up the first week in June.
-
Was it just me, or were Hasbro's exclusives really easy to get last year? I seem to recall most of them were in-stock in the morning, with walk-up lines available on Saturday and Sunday. Thrawn, IIRC, was the only one that wasn't easy to get.
-
A lot of SDCC "exclusives" show up quickly at other retailers. My local Barnes and Noble and a hand written sign that said "SDCC exclusives" right after comic-con ended. Gamestop tends to get a lot of SDCC "exclusives" too.

I think there were some other ones that sold out? Seems so long ago but definitely agree that it wasn't as insane as some other years. For Thrawn I was able to get one on Saturday with a slightly dinged box that I am totally happy with.

https://io9.gizmodo.com/hasbro-is-bringing-some-of-the-star-wars-comics-best-ne-1826566650
Marvel’s Star Wars comics have given us some delightful new characters over the past few years, but none have been taken to quite like the intrepid archaeologist Dr. Aphra (one-time associate of Darth Vader himself) and her killer droid pals, Triple Zero and BT. Now, for the first time, they’re all coming to action figure form.
io9 can exclusively reveal that Hasbro is bringing a 3.75"-scale “The Vintage Collection” three-pack featuring Aphra, 0-0-0 the protocol droid, and BT-1 the astromech to San Diego, as one of its Star Wars Comic-Con exclusives this year. The set will also be available at FanExpo Canada later this year, as well as in limited quantities online after Comic-Con at the Hasbro Toy Shop.
Introduced in Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca’s Darth Vader ongoing in 2016, Aphra and her droids (enhanced with programming that basically turned them into killer versions of C-3PO and R2-D2 in the best ways possible) were recruited by Vader to help him work his way back up in the Emperor’s esteem after the failure of the first Death Star. But naturally, you don’t make a deal with Darth Vader and expect to make it out alive—so Aphra eventually went on the run, having her own adventures hunting down rare artifacts in the pages of her own ongoing comic series.
As well as the three figures, the set also features accessories in the form of Aphra’s blaster and attachment to make comically oversized weapons pop out of BT’s head. On top of that, the trio of figures are presented in a very special box, harkening back to the “Special Action Figure Set” three-packs Kenner would do for the classic Star Wars toy line.
Aphra herself will also be getting a standalone release as part of the recently-relaunched Vintage Collection, as she was the winner of last year’s fan choice poll, but currently there are no plans to release either BT or Triple Zero as standalone figures outside of this set, so if you want plastic representations of some of the best droids the Star Wars galaxy currently has to offer, you’ll have to pony up $50 when the three-pack launches at San Diego Comic-Con next month.

its cool. i would hope they would release some solo stuff. is there something coming in the near future that has to do with these comics ? i don't know anything about them. it's canon ?

Yes, the new comics are canon. Doctor Aphra first showed up in Darth Vader comics then got her own. She is amazing ;D
I really really really will need this but I'm not sure if I want to do the Hasbro ticket line in the morning. I may suck it up and go for it though. I know Saturday and Sunday has had walk ups at Hasbro but I wonder if this one will be like Thrawn last year and go quickly. It may come down to how many other Hasbro items I would want, going solely for Aphra may not be the best use of my time. Decisions, decisions.
-
I really like these, one more good exclusive from Hasbro and I will probably do the line.

then i am probably going to bet you will be doing the line haha.
i wish they still had the old school carded gi joe figures with the variant. i have all of them except jinx. darn you cobra commander and your different colored pants....

Ha I got both of them; when I bought it that year they asked "which one" and I was all "ummm...one of each?" I gave one to a friend (the non-variant). That Cobra Commander is still one of my all-time favorite exclusives
its cool. i would hope they would release some solo stuff. is there something coming in the near future that has to do with these comics ? i don't know anything about them. it's canon ?
IMO these three characters are three of the most interesting 'new' characters introduced in the comics (or any other Disney-era non-movie new characters). Dr. is almost like a Han Solo type, a pseudo-mercenary who Vader hired to do some 'dirty work.' Her droids are awesome: Triple-Zero is like if 3-P0 were a sociopath, always talking about painfully killing just about any character he's introduced to; BT-1 has the arsenal to back up Triple-Zero's threats - think if R2 had giant rockets and space lasers powerful enough to take down ships.
I've not kept up with her own comic series (Dr. Aphra) at all, but I read the entirety of the first Darth Vader comic (which took place not long after A NEW HOPE but significantly before EMPIRE) and Aphra and her droid crew were definite highlights of a real strong, entertaining comic series. It's only around 25 issues (and again, not to be confused with the latest 'Darth Vader' comic which takes place immediately after Vader's "Nooooooo" from SITH) and worth the read if you like to follow the Imperial side of the SW Universe
-
thanks for that info. very informative. from what i have read we will be treated to xizor and revan into canon. heartbreaker that jade wont be.
yes. cobra commander was imo the best sdcc with variant. pimp destro was pretty awesome and hilarious though. i wouldnt mind a snake eyes with his original sculp too. the choice of zarana was kind of out of nowhere.
hope they revive that line. got interrupted by that movie based destro not on the old card. booooo.
-
I do like them but not sure if I like them enough to go for the Hasbro line and spend $50 on them. Lets see what else Hasbro releases, including the Magic set, hopefully, the price is lower than last years exclusive.

Hasbro's MtG set is really all I care about buying every year. Sure, there's exclusive comics that I'll buy but the MtG set is #1.

Ditto :) But at some point I will redecorate with a Star Wars theme and he'll be front and center.

Especially with that Gree helmet. Wonder what the story is with that. I could google it.... havent.
-
This SW set looks cool. Aphra has become popular with fans since her comic origin. I think this will be a pretty solid seller for Hasbro at the show.
Last year things did seem a little easier to get at Hasbro, but I think part of the reason was that the limit was 2 on everything except for the Magic set. And yes, the GI Joe Missile Command HQ set sold out quickly, by the end of Friday if I recall correctly. I had some friends rush the Hasbro booth first thing Saturday and they said the HQ set was already sold out at that time.
I love the single carded figure show exclusives, they are generally my favorite. I'd love to see a GI Joe carded figure exclusive, and a SW carded exclusive. But I'm not sure we will get either one this year.

Without a new Star Wars movie the only things that will likely draw me in this year are the Magic set and if they have a small to medium size transformers set. As much as I want to buy the big transformers I just don't have the space anymore. I personally am not digging the vintage set though it is really nice.

Hope the lottery cancer doesn’t spread to Hasbro.

The 6-inch figures in this Black Series centerpiece will sell for $109.99 at Hasbro’s Booth #3329 at Comic-Con International in San Diego next month. (Later this year, both of these sets will also be available at Fan Expo Canada.)
The Han Solo set features the smuggler from The Empire Strikes Back, facing down the bat-like parasite that gnaws on the Millennium Falcon’s power cables when Han accidentally parks the ship inside the belly of a gigantic “exogorth” space slug. this set will sell for $34.99.

rey and kylo does look awesome though. the price is steep. but isn't that price close to what thrawn cost last year ?
??? ??? ???
-
Maybe if it was an exclusive figure.. but it looks exactly what they sell in store.. Yea 50 dollars per a general figure and a bunch of plastic rocks is hard to swallow.
-
Hahah..."bat-like parasite" vs. calling out "mynock" just seems...odd to me, like, who here wouldn't know what a mynock was? :D

definitely knew what mynock is lol.
but i actually didn't know what exogorth was.
take my star wars card away............... anyone else ?
-
$110 for the Rey/Kylo set seems steep, whereas $85 (or even $75) would have felt "just right". Oh well...
I like the Solo set. Bonus points for the falcon packaging. Hasbro can have some of my money this year -- but not all of it.
-
For $110, the lightsabers and the background should light up and have sounds. It looks cool, but without the aforementioned, no thanks.
I'm waiting to see what Transformers exclusives they offer at the big H. Ditto for Entertainment Earth.
-

Well, on that note...
The 6-inch scene will retail for $109.99, includes an exclusive water mister for steam effects and an acrylic light-up backdrop.
Looks like it does indeed have some bells & whistles.

i am stunned. i dont know what to say.
bizarre......
cool?
weird?
this is what makes it exclusive?
if it is then to utilize it you have to take it out of the box haha. my favorite part of the gi joe sdcc figures was the old school artwork on the cards.
this is just strange. i assume its "awesome" to some? sounds cool but out of nowhere. again stunned. did i mention stunned ?

I’m with you all the way on this one.
It feels quasi-gimmicky.
I’m all for carded figures, blister packaging, and retro/vintage graphics.
-
Hope the exclusive Magic card set price comes back down to under $100.
-
So just one clarification on the $110 Rey/Kylo set. This is in the Hasbro 'Centerpiece' line. That line of products from Hasbro are less toys and as the name suggests more of a centerpiece. The bases usually light up etc. Other Centerpiece sets have ranged in the $40-$50 range but you also get 2 figures here and it is a convention exclusive. Just wanted to give a bit of clarity fwiw
-
A Centerpiece is an interesting exclusive pick, since the Kylo, Luke and Vader entries in that line are "shelfwarming" at places like HTS, HTS eBay and any TRU that remains open.

never really thought about it like that since i dont collect black series except for even thinking about it for sdcc exclusives. the thrawn is AWESOME. is it considered a centerpiece ? it's not right ?
and its exclusive. i am not a big fan of early release but coming later.

Thrawn is not, Thrawn from last year was just a Black Series figure that they added extra items for to make it more of a convention exclusive as opposed to the retail version
'Centerpiece' is the name of the line so if a product is in the line it would be classified that way. Black Series is a way to kind of distinguish a product from the 3.75'' figures. The Black Series figures are 6'' and more articulated and therefore a slightly more collectible line. But Black Series is also applied to their Roleplay (Force FX Lightsabers, Helmets) which is where the 'Centerpiece' designation within the Black Series fits in.
The equivalent for Marvel is the Marvel Legends line which is the more collectible 6'' line. I know not something you asked but now you know! ;D
Going to Toy Fairs and following these things seems to have rubbed off on me!
+1 ;)

There may be SDCC GI Joe item news from the Hasbro panel... (bold mine)
From http://www.toyhypeusa.com/2018/06/19/toyhypeusa-to-attend-g-i-joecon-2018-the-final-show/
This year, G.I. JoeCon will wrap up after more than two decades of bringing fans together. Originally, G.I. JoeCon was supposed to end in 2016, as Hasbro is looking at combining all of the shows (G.I. JoeCon and BotCon), and all of their properties into one annual show called HasCon, which took place for its first year in September 2017 in Rhode Island. You can check out the coverage of that show HERE, as well as some toy coverage.
HasCon will not take place in 2018, and will instead resume in 2019. As this is the last G.I. JoeCon, we expect some big announcements during the Hasbro panel that Derryl Depriest will (hopefully) be announcing on Saturday. We will have an exclusive video interview with Derryl on Friday late afternoon and will do our best to go over everything, including G.I. Joe, HasCon, and everything else we can think of with him. If you have questions of your very own, leave them in our comments below before Friday 2pm EST.
G.I. JoeCon will take place this week/weekend in Chattanooga, TN on June 21st-24th.
-
Really let down at that Defenders set and the rest of their offerings. If anything, that DD could have been the Man in Black version. Might be the first year I skip Hasbro which is kind of a relief in a way haha.
-
Do we think Hasbro has any more Star Wars-related reveals to come, or is this it?
-
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
-
Most important question never came up.
Will the convention exclusives be limited?
I expect Hasbro, like any other corporation will keep producing until the demand wears off. Not really exclusive anymore, is it?
-
the Hasbro exclusives are exclusive but not SDCC exclusive, so they will be sold at conventions and hasbrotoyshop but there is a specific limit on them. The exclusive versions usually feature nicer packaging, more accessories, different paint variants.
That said there are usually retail versions of what they sell but minus the bells and whistles.
For example the Luke/Rey two pack last year was a double pack in a nicer package and you got them early, but the figures were eventually released in the regular black series.
That said the celebration x-wing Luke I think may have been a more exclusive piece
-
I agree, but the huge toymakers don't really limit their items.
As an example, last year Funko had a lot of exclusives that I wanted but they sold out quickly. On the way home I stopped at a mall for dinner and low and behold Hot Topic had all the convention exclusives on a huge table in front of the store with no lines. They were $5 more, but there they were.
Personally I only consider an exclusive if it is ONLY available at one place and has a known limited production run. Hasbro, Funko, Mattel, Lego have few, if any, 'true' SDCC exclusives. But on the other hand, there are many other vendors that do, like Gentle Giant, Icon Heroes, Cryptozoic, Diamond and many more.
-
actually thats nto 100% true the Lego has a SDCC sticker and you can't find those sets elsewhere. It really depends who wants to buy the rights to slap the SDCC logo on the exclusive; Hasbro has opted not to but it is still a convention exclusive.
Many companies are opting for the 'convention' exclusive it seems

No Portal slots listed. They didn't do vouchers for Saturday for the last two years. Sunday had been walk up as well.

Nice. Good to know that we still have a chance even if I fail the lotto!!
THANKS!!

Is no portal for Saturday Hasbro confirmed? Weird that Hasbro is doing Preview night, which there was never a line and not on Saturday?

actually thats nto 100% true the Lego has a SDCC sticker and you can't find those sets elsewhere. It really depends who wants to buy the rights to slap the SDCC logo on the exclusive; Hasbro has opted not to but it is still a convention exclusive.
Many companies are opting for the 'convention' exclusive it seems
Not sure if you are correct about Legos as the Brickheadz and Minifigs for the couple of years had the SDCC logo printed on the box.

HasbroToyShop has gotten better in increasing inventory for their shows the last few years. Playmates toys at the Nick booth, now that I've not seen outside of SDCC!

I read that as SDCC-stickered Lego sets and minifigures aren't sold officially via Lego stores. You have to be at Comic-Con's Lego booth. Though, would minifigures and sets be considered exclusives if given away in social media contests?
Also, I'm on the idea that the Lego part from the OP involved the actual products inside the box being exclusive?
1. Hasbro has a set of TFA centerpieces, with the added accessory limited to purchase of the set (show or online) but the product itself is sold alone, like the Rey Centerpiece (part of convention set):
http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2018/06/28/new-rey-starkiller-base-centerpiece-found/
2. Lego set packaging may be exclusive to SDCC, but not the innards this year.

https://io9.gizmodo.com/transforming-dino-cassettes-join-a-retro-80s-bumblebee-1827182137
It’s hard to lament Comic-Con’s lack of focus on actual comic books when the convention also brings us some of the best and exclusive collectible toys of the year. In addition to new figures of Star Wars’ latest heroes, Hasbro will be tapping Transformers fans’ wallets with a new Bumblebee set featuring a retro gold Camaro and a pair of rare dinosaur cassette bots.
The ‘80s-inspired “Bumblebee Vol. 1 Retro Rock Garage” set includes a classic 1977 Camaro version of Bee with a retro paint job that will undoubtedly match the character’s design in the upcoming Transformers prequel. But with 25 steps needed to transform the toy from car to robot mode, this version of Bumblebee doesn’t share much else with the comparatively simple Transformers toys of the ‘80s.
The set’s packaging looks like an oversized cassette tape, while the ‘rock’ theme is carried on through the other two included Transformers figures. As a kid, Soundwave’s tiny cassette bots were my favorite Transformers toys (they were so easy to smuggle in your pocket) and in this set Bumblebee is joined by Dairu and Uruaz, a pair of dino-cassettes that were originally only available in Japan back in the ‘80s.
If you’ll be at San Diego Comic-Con this year, you’ll be able to get the “Bumblebee Vol. 1 Retro Rock Garage” set at Hasbro’s con store for $60. But if you can’t make it out west, some will also be made available on the HabroToyShop website after Comic-Con is over, but in limited numbers.

See Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Daredevil ride the subway.
Marvel’s Defenders will be one of the shining stars of Hasbro’s San Diego Comic-Con exclusives. The characters — including Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist and Colleen Wing — are featured in the Marvel Legends Series Defenders Rail Authority 5-Pack.
The six-inch figures come with multiple points of articulation and have detailed stylings. The pack also comes with five accessories. Like all Hasbro convention exclusives, the original packaging is a key part of the appeal and this one is a fun one: underground New York City public transit.
Exclusive toys are one of the hallmarks of San Diego Comic-Con, which runs July 19 to July 22. Fans line up by the thousands for these exclusive offerings from plaything giants Hasbro, Mattel and Lego. The toys don’t hit Amazon or Target and are only be available at this convention (or a few others sometimes) or online for a limited time. Because once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Members of The Defenders are currently in the spotlight due to the Marvel's popular Netflix shows, now in various seasons. The Defenders Rail Authority pack will be on sale for $124.99.

I believe they will just have a standby line on those days. That's usually when exclusives start selling out so there's not as much interest.

Not to be outdone with the slips, or maybe this was an intentional tease, the Hasbro Pulse Instagram just posted a picture of what appears to be another SDCC exclusive! The package certainly makes it appear to be that extra special type of convention thing, with the opening front and surprise peek-a-boo flavor. While they don’t show the Red Skull figure itself (which makes this article seem clickbaity as all hell, NOT MY FAULT!) I’m guessing it’s pretty close to what we’ve already seen in the 10 Years line, just with a fancy shmancy glowy Tesseract.

I feel the same, but I also feel the same about almost all the exclusives so far this year except for Lego. I actually wanted that Mezco Batman Beyond but didn't pull the trigger, maybe I'll go with the 1000Toys Synthetic Human this year. 3A has been quiet too.
But I reserve judgement in case they drop a second TF set and any Magic cards

Well played, Hasbro Pulse with your hint last week:
https://www.romper.com/p/the-newest-my-little-pony-figures-are-so-80s-in-the-best-way-possible-9647377
If you're into the 1980s, ponies, and nostalgia, then hold on to your horses. The My Little Pony Established 1983 Greatest Hits Set is getting released at the San Diego Comic-Con this year, and it is totally tubular. Basically, these are the fun, 80s-inspired pony figures you need in your life right now.
In celebration of the brand's 35th anniversary, the My Little Pony Established 1983 Greatest Hits Set is being released exclusively at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). It features three of the mane six characters reimagined with 80s-inspired fashions, as well as funky mane styles. Twilight Sparkle is dressed as an '80s pop princess, Pinkie Pie is jamming out in some old-school aerobic gear, and of course Rainbow Dash is rocking a fierce mohawk and punky leather jacket. In addition to these totally awesome figures, the set also includes three cassette tape-inspired collector cards describing the pony friends. To round out the theme, the entire set is housed in packaging designed like a boombox. Retailing for $20, the set is exclusive to SDCC, so book your trip to San Diego right away. These newer ponies look a little different from their 1980s predecessors, but they are definitely on the scene and ready to party in some of the best getups imaginable.

I'm kind of interested in the cassettes, but couldn't care less about another Bayverse Bumblebee. This will be one of those things where if I don't buy anything else, maybe I'll pick it up on Sunday. If those cassettes were Masterpieces, the would be must-buys, but POP's. Meh.
You can submit for as many time slots as you like, but for Hasbro and Funko, it appears that you can only win one time slot for the entire convention.
Wow, this is so stupid! If I was interested in any of these exclusives, I'd be upset. It looks like they want to eliminate "Line Con" but all this will do is make more people hover around the booths, causing an even bigger bottleneck. They better have security ready.

No last year it was $180 but came with a Mondo poster.
I bought 2 last year and still have 1 unopened I can bring with me this year to trade if anyone is interested.
-
the art is amazing but $99 for just the 5 cards is a bit pricey, when they first started it was $65 for just the cards, they've gotten pricier but that cause they've added extras (Nerf Axe, Artbook, Mondo Poster) ; but $99 for just the cards. Have to really think on that

They do have a habit of doing that but it looks like I can forego Hasbro this year. I was hoping for something more from Magic the Gathering but not spending $99 for just the cards, they have me spoiled from years when there was the extras.

Yeah, I figured Red Skull would available on Hasbro's online toystore after SDCC, but other online retailers is news to me. I would expect than Entertainment Earth and BBTS to have this on their websites but at a markup rate.
I became less interested in this figure when I discovered that there's a "First 10 Years" Red Skull figure that will be coming out.

https://www.cnet.com/news/exclusive-look-at-new-hasbro-star-wars-forces-of-destiny-set/
Han Solo's Wookiee best friend Chewbacca and those adorable avian creatures called porgs were one of the best parts of the movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but they also returned in animated form in Disney's online webseries Forces of Destiny.
And now Hasbro has some special collectibles based on their animated appearance.
Here's an exclusive look at the premium Star Wars Forces of Destiny set -- which will be available only at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International (SDCC).
The new Star Wars set includes stylized Millennium Falcon packaging to re-create the scene where several porgs join the heroes aboard the starship to leave the planet Ahch-To.
The collectible set features an electronic Chewbacca figure that makes sounds when activated. It also includes action figures of two adult porgs, and a porglet nest with two baby porgs (that's four porgs total).
Fans will be able to purchase this Star Wars pack for $49.99 (roughly £38, AU$67) at the Hasbro Toy Shop booth at SDCC.

Now that we got our exclusive slots, I’m trying to figure out trades with friends. Many of our want lists overlap. Does Hasbro limit each exclusive to 1 per person?

I think the website hints at limits.
Everything says 2 per household except Magic is 1 and no limit stated on Transformers Studio Series.
-
First time going to comic con, I got hasbro in the lottery on preview night, how long should i expect to be in line from getting in line to purchase? I really wanted funko but I didn't get any slots. Maybe we can help each other out. P/M
-
If anyone needs any hasbro items and won any LEGO items for trade, let me know.
-
I won a Thursday morning Hasbro slot, and would be interested in trading opportunities to buy. [I do not plan to buy the Hasbro magic set for myself, so that would be an option for trade.]. Areas of interest are the Mondo Avengers poster, Marvel exclusives, Mattel exclusives, and vintage MOTU toys. Send me a PM, if interested. Thanks!
-
Has anyone seen if there are buying limits to items at the Hasbro shop? I can't find anything saying so, but I'm barely one cup of coffee in so I *could* have missed it.

On the Hasbro Website, https://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/en/htsusa/exclusives (https://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/en/htsusa/exclusives), they list a limit of 2 per household for most items except MTG, which is limited to 1.
Not sure if this will be different at the booth.

Interesting that not all of the exclusives are listed *cough*Chewie & Porgs*cough*. I wonder if more will be added after the con?
-
Hasbro is probably too embarrassed to list it. The wookie is terrible but the porgs are nice
-
I did get a Hasbro lottery. If someone has legos, hallmark ornaments, please pm me so we can trade. Everything open other than magic.

If people didn’t win any of the hasbro time slots there’s a reason there wasn’t any for Saturday and Sunday and that’s because it will be first come, first serve at the hasbro booth. So those collectors that missed out then there’s Saturday and Sunday when the doors open.

I have a Hasbro slot and would love to trade the Magic the Gathering set for a few SDCC 2018 pops for my son. He's mainly interested in Rick & Morty, Scott Pilgrim, Harry Potter, Mad Max & Nux, Tina on Unicorn.

Anyone want the transformers bumblebee scooter. Looking to sell or trade for either funko pops or Lego.
-
I had a 9:30am-noon Hasbro shopping slot this morning, and wanted to share a few things:
- The Magic Set and Transformers scooter are limited to a quantity of one. All other exclusives are limited to two.
- I went straight to the Hasbro booth upon entering the floor, and there was no line. I was out by 9:50am.
- They will re-stock exclusives each morning.
Hope this information is helpful!

To add to the above from my 9:30a slot:
- They checked that I had a printed confirmation (although I did hear one staff member say you could bring it up on your phone)
- They validated that the name on the confirmation matched the name on the license
- They validated my ID and the name on the paper badge matched (twice, two different places in line)
- They had me take the paper part of the badge out of the plastic holder for validation
- They stamped the inside of the paper portion of my badge with what I purchased
- They *did not* validate my information against a master list, however, they did say that they had a master list to validate against when they thought that somebody looked "suspicious/shady"
-
Hasbro open for walk in.
Transformers card game sold out for show.
Edit:Ponies will be in stock tomorrow.
All the Star Wars items were in stock!
A person with a Volunteer badge with no name, was turned away from purchasing because ID could not be matched to a nameless badge.

they said they are no longer doing the confirmations. everything is first come now

Would anyone have an extra of the transformers cards? A great member here helped me out on the figures but sadly this one item has eluded me. If anyone can help out here it would be incredibly appreciated.

That's kind of rude to say to someone you don't know. I'm not a flipper. Originally I brought these in order to trade to get funko pops. However, the pops I want are sold out. So I'm trying to sell these at face value before I leave tomorrow since these items I don't need!

So I have curious question. I didn't win the online lottery and thought I was screwed this year. Fortunately I bought what I wanted just by walking in Thursday afternoon. It seems like most of their items did not sell out. Were their items this year not popular or something? I remember a few years ago anything Star Wars was unobtainable without camping or going through a re-seller.
-

I'm usually into the star wars exclusives and sometimes the transformers exclusives but I didn't find any of them particularly interesting or cool this year, hopefully next year.
-
It’s interesting that the sell outs were the Bumblebee Razor scooter, MLP set, Transformers card game and Forces of Destiny Chewie and Porg. Most of these being kid targeted items.
Also, even within their fandoms, the Bumblebee movie set, the Optimus Primal,
the Dr. Aphra and droids and even the Netflix Defenders set were all niche items. A lot of Transformers collectors aren’t into the movie toys or Beast Wars. A lot of Star Wars collectors aren’t familiar with Dr. Aphra as she is featured in recent comics and no other medium. A lot of Marvel collectors aren’t into MCU or Marvel tv figures ( believe it or not). So you have a bunch of items that don’t necessarily have universal appeal in their respective fandoms to say nothing of more casual minded fans.
Definitely hurting the cause is that most of these will be available at retail, albeit in different pacakages or different colors. Red Skull will be at retail without the Tessaract. Most of the Defenders are available already but in different costumes. Optimus Primal will be released in different colors.
Yet another thing is that Star Wars collecting isn’t what it used to be. Not only have a lot of long time collectors dropped out of the game but Hasbro themselves release less product. What they displayed and revealed at SDCC seems but a fraction of what they would have had 5+ years ago.
-
Reason why the Hasbro line seemed shorter and more manageable is due its lackluster offerings. In addition participating in the lottery, there was a standby line for confirmation not redeemed from the designated time slot. On Saturday, Hasbro offered its exclusives to general attendees.
-
They opened late Thursday afternoon (see above posts) to general attendees. One big drawback, the Hasbro booth did require an ID match your badge at the counter, even on Sunday with no line. I think they also had more stock than last year. Either way, gonna be a good online sale. I liked the baby porgs idea. There was a rumor that Han and Leia may be in a future set, so maybe people didn't want to buy him again. That just adds to the lackluster idea.
Did anyone find the Transformers Card game at the booth on Friday or Saturday? Was back in stock on Sunday, fo a small bit of time.
-
I went Saturday not too long after WB panel let out and they said they had Transformers cards back in stock. I was only there for Dr. Aphra and the workers were like are you sure that’s all you want? Yes. We have these Transformers cards back in stock. No thank you. All you want is Dr Aphra? Yes.
I think the one comment was right about some items being niche and not much crossover. I normally don’t do Hasbro but since there was literally no line when I walked up and I love the Dr Aphra comics I decided to buy her because as of now it’s really the only merch for that book/character available. I would take a guess at there being a lot of people like me only going up and getting one or two items, if anything even catches their eye in the first place.
They also still did the id check and stamped my badge even with no line (I was the only person the whole time of my transaction and walking through the snake) and what looked like tons of things still in stock.

I only bought 3 items from Hasbro - Aphra and her droids, Optimus Primal and then because they were sold out, on a Saturday transaction, one MLP ‘83 set. Although I do collect Marvel Legends, passed on both offerings for various reasons.

I only got the Mynok(sp ?) Hunt because the other "exclusives" were lame or too expensive. Over $100 bucks for the SW diorama and $60 for the Red Skull and that cheap looking Cosmic Cube (I'm old school, and old).

Did you buy this from a seller from comic con? If so the total amount that I paid for mine was 87 including taxes. If you paid more than 87 then that was more than face value.

I don't remember getting Sales Tax applied to me. I got the MLP & Bumblee stuff, that was $22 & 65. I paid $87. And the day before i got in line to get MLP but it was sold out, so a chic behind me asked me to get her a Magic Card set (WTF are those, by the way>?) and it was 99. i got my $1 back...
soo.. yeah, i didnt get tax added to my purchase..

Tax was included in the convention floor prices. The items will list for less when they sell them online because they won't add the tax there

The receipt has it listed with how much tax was added to the item. I did 2 separate transactions so magic gathering with tax was 99 and razor was 87. Basically the menu they gave u in line included the tax.

Good time to check for expired passwords before Monday's sale.
HTS has Guest checkout, if you don't have or want to make an account.
If you have a stored credit card, and it's expired, try making a trial sale and update the card that way. The update link, to add the new expiration date, takes you out of the sale and is not found on your account page.
Follow the SW and TF fan sites and turn on mobile notifications.
The exclusives page will often update to 'Add to Cart" before the specific product page does.
Items not held in cart and may sell out during the processing phase of purchase. Just like Funko, Mattel, Target, and Amazon! And you'll have to seek and delete the insufficient stock item to complete sale!
Items are excluded from any promotions.
Phone orders are not accepted.

Just three left as of this morning. Here's my take.
I can understand the Defenders being still available since it it basically a dead show. But it has really cool packaging.
The vintage ponies surprise me since they sold out quickly at the show.
The Star Wars centerpiece also surprises me although not the most popular characters. If it was Luke and Vader, would be sold out.
The Chewy/Porg set was just not that well done. I guess the Porgs sold out that one.
A few items may reappear for sale today.

Per TFW2005 forum (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/sdcc-2018-hts-convention-exclusives-thread.1155231/page-36#post-16053231)
The graphics on the main page have changed items that said "Check back tomorrow" now say "Check Back for Updates", may mean there is an update for more stock today? )

I called HTS this morning about my 2 orders (I did a second, Han and pony sets, for a friend which always gets flagged and have to call for release). One shows processed online, but she said both are in Received status or not released to the warehouse yet. I saw a double charge for my first order on my bank account, so hopefully I'm not getting 4 porg sets! Trying to cancel ponies from one order so his doesn't get cancelled.
Update: After my phone call, my HTS account shows both as processed now! Awaiting Shipping Confirmation emails next week before I call again.
Update 2: And just got the email that my first order has shipped 45 minutes after phone call and they removed the two ponies as requested!
Update 3: Both orders have shipped!

I received confirmation on 2 orders from Hasbro right away and another order is in the 'processing' state with my credit card company. That was the first order that was real funky with the online processing so I ordered again using Paypal. Those went right through. If I get all the orders, I'd be happy since they were Magic cards.

Oh does anyone have a quick tutorial on how to play magic cards?

As far as I am concerned Hasbro exclusives are no longer exclusives. I won't be buying from them next year. Not only are they selling the exclusives on eBay and online, but they also disregarded the lottery system that SDCC put in place by allowing those without a lottery pick to buy from their booth whenever they wanted. I guess those Hasbro items aren't worth the lines at SDCC anymore. Next year they will probably make thousands of extra Magic sets because they see that was their best seller reducing the desirability of those cards and ruining the game.
Your thoughts.

Hasbro has always allowed people in without tickets. The tickets are more to get yourself a shorter line, or to get in earlier in the day to ensure availability of certain items.

Last year they let anyone in the line at 9:30AM on Thursday.
