I have used my bag of holding for years... fair warning it can dig into your shoulder as the day progresses make sure to switch sides often.
Thanks for the advice!

And just some last minute advice...don't forget the new hotness that is the FoCCI Lanyards!  If you ordered a bit back, don't forget to pack'em!

I used this for 2014. Able to use one outlet to charge 4+ USB devices in just a few hours. I paid $36 but it's on sale with a discount code at Amazon for $20 right now

Something I'm going to add to my "things to take list" is one of those fans with the mister, like they sell at Disneyland. San Diego seemed REALLY hot and muggy this year.

I don't know if these were on the list from earlier, but I wished I had brought some paperclips or a binder clip or something similar.

It seemed like the badges were really unsecure since they didn't fit into the holders fully, and I wished I had something to clip it shut and keep it in place.

A board member posted a passport holder that I used to pin my badge inside of. I didn't fit in with all the red lanyards but my badge was going nowhere. Getting the pin through the first layer of the holder was a little bit of a pain but after I was good to go all week.

I can't remember the one the person linked. But I got something similar. I used this:

No pins were required. The badgeholder and printout fit in it perfectly. It fit nice and snug w/out worries of falling out. I attached my lanyard to it b/c I like to keep my pins on my lanyard lol.

Also wonderful, fits my cash and cards w/out needing to drag a purse or putting it in my backpack and having to dig for it. :D This particular design has two pen slots in the back where I kept my sharpies on hand.

I kept wanting to ask for a paper clip too-I guess I could have asked at the hotel's front desk. The badge just seemed like it would pull right out. I did fold mine along the bottom so that it wouldn't stick out (was never questioned about it), but it still seemed loose in the holder. DH told me I was worrying too much, but I checked it a lot (and held it when in a crowd).

I am going to get this for next year.  The plastic on my badge tore this year and the pin came undone.  This looks like it will keep my badge super duper safe.

Anti-perspirent.
Purell anti-bacteria hand sanitizer.
Vitamin C tablets.

Earphones for your smartphone so you can listen to music or watch videos without disturbing the people next to you.

Charger for your DSLR camera battery.
At least two memory cards for your DSLR camera.
Protein snack bars.
Bottled water.
Aspirin.
Immodium.
Pocket tissues.
Writing pen.
Sharpie.
Sun block.
Listerine breath strips.
An apple and/or an orange.
Collapsible camping chair.
Knapsack/backpack to carry your gear.
Scotch tape.
A few extra lanyards.

Playing cards.
And try to bring enough cash & loose change with you before you leave for your trip as ATMs at the Convention Center charge ridiculous fees.

Not surprised antiperspirant is first!  Don't add to the Comic Con funk especially if you're repping FoCCI lanyard!  ;)

I still think, in addition to the lanyards and the plastic badge holders, Comic-Con should still give out bars of soap and/or antiperspirant deodorant to attendees, just as reminder for people to maintain hygiene... Ha ha. ;p

We are heading to REI, right now, to check out the small foldable chairs. We saw so many last year and decided they were a must have for our feet from now on. I want to see them all and try them and get a feel without just buying a random one from the internet and hating it. Most of them are not cheap, so I wanna choose wisely. I will report back with my findings!

ChairOne is the best made. I bought the travel chair Joey and my friend who is pretty big broke it just by sitting in it. I'm not sure if the rei chair is more like the ChairOne or the Joey. Sometimes it's worth a bit more to get higher quality
