WonderCon 2022 is about two months away and there has been no announcements. Anyone have any idea what is going on at CCI, can they still pull it off in 60 days, and still have a good show?
CCI is still upgrading the Member ID system, so until that is completed, I wouldn't expect any news about Wondercon registration. This is what CCI wrote-- "Have no fear! We'll be back up and running before it's time for any registration events."You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Newsom was eating at the French Laundry when everyone else was on lockdown. I don't think his behavior has anything to do with the rules he imposes for everyone else.
I actually remember the timeline as he ate at French Laundry and the next day, he locked everyone down. Technically, he was following his own rules, as he hadn't locked everyone down when he was at French Laundry.
I'm seeing a decent amount of Twitter chatter with exhibitors confirming they're all set for Comic-Con in July. Which just makes the near-total radio silence on Wondercon more worrisome. Come on, CCI, announce something already!!!
Should we all just tweet at CCI?
LOL, like the mayor of DC locked everyone down the day after she attended a friend's wedding.
Or like how the mayor of Denver told people to stay home while at the airport…or how the mayor of Austin told people to stay home while on vacation in Mexico…
The exact guidance of his that was in effect that day he wasn’t following was that there were people from more than 3 households in his group, which was basically indoors even though he tried to claim it was outdoors at first. The SF mayor London Breed did literally the exact same thing at the exact same place the next day.) Seems nitpicky at first, but after months of him (I realize there were probably other people involved, but it’s ultimately him because the shutdowns were enforced under his emergency powers) canceling other people’s funerals, weddings, and schools and creating an environment where gathering was looked down upon, breaking his own guidance to go to a place that sells $850 dinners turned more than a few heads.
Yeah, but I think that guidance was not announced until after he had the dinner.
Nope, the guidance that said no more than 3 households was announced in mid-October (this one replaced the previous one which was actually more strict) and his dinner was in early November. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
