I received the following invite to an event hosted by Upper Deck. It is invite only so I didn't bother posting its own topic but I'm sharing here as I will post about it afterward and what the reveal hinted at was.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

This might be about Collect Forever as I am an member of Upper Deck's Epack and they have sent some emails out regarding this the past couple of weeks. Looks like now you can collect Comic books instead of trading cards on the site.

Looking forward to the Dragon Ball exhibition!

On the website itself it also lists preview night so I hope there is early access there to avoid the larger crowds (and ideally a press only time).

Hmmmm.... I had been wondering if someone was going to take over the space that Nintendo had in previous cons at the MMM.

Well Dragon Balls generally been behind the MMM, i figured that's the booth they were referring to?  But half the time by the end of con all the figures have melted.  It happens every single year and they never fix it.

I'd say it's more that the display cases they use turn into ovens.  Usually direct sunlight for a week, plexiglass cases.  No ventillation, you can see how that would cause issues.

For Ghosts:

As part of CBS’s “Summer of GHOSTS” immersive marketing campaign honoring the “recently departed” first season and its upcoming sophomore season this fall, GHOSTS will show up in San Diego with Pinecone Trooper Pete’s “Friend Zone,” an activation with a campsite feel in honor of scout leader ghost Pete, whose unfortunate archery accident left him with an arrow through his neck for eternity. The activation will be set up at the Interactive Zone at Petco Park from July 21-24, and will feature a “scare-free” archery activation – but nothing is what it seems at this campsite setup on ‘the lawn’ of The Woodstone Mansion – the show’s setting and home to the ghosts. Fans can connect with Ghosts and ‘the other side’ through psychic mediums and programming that’ll give attendees insight into their past, present, and future lives.

Has there been any mention of what,if anything, is going on at the Hilton Bayfront lawn?

Unconfirmed, but I am *guessing* FX. That's where they have been in the past, and someone found that casting call for 'creepy dolls' that sounds suspiciously like American Horror Story.

Earlier Sparks Gallery stated that Hypland would be holding an event in their space, but I guess those plans must have fallen through.

Now they are hosting The Chuck Jones Gallery during Comic-Con (unless they are hosting both at the same time)--

"The Chuck Jones Gallery is being hosted this year during Comic-Con (July 21-24, 2022) by Sparks Gallery. We will be showcasing both virtual experiences and animation/comic artwork in a special pop-up for the event.

The gallery is located at 530 Sixth Avenue in the Gaslamp, walking distance from the San Diego Convention Center.

Guests can grab a selfie with a virtual Looney Tunes character in AR, or experience virtual reality with the characters (VR) in this special Comic-Con activation. Sparks Gallery will also feature and sell Surreal, Abstract, and Pop-inspired artworks from the gallery's exhibited artists. The artists will be on-site to share their process and offer special limited editions or one-of-a-kind artworks.
