I did a few months of both nerdblock and lootcrate, however they are a lot more expensive when you aren't local, and I decided that money could be better put towards sdcc.

I love Lootcrate! There's been cool stuff in every box, and I save the stuff I'm not into for stocking stuffers at Christmas.  O:-)

I too use to have Lootcrate and Nerdblock. Ended up staying with Nerdblock.

Better stuff, I take it?   Never heard of NerdBlock before now.

I think generally the overall value of nerdblock is higher, and you get a shirt every month. I liked the themed boxes with lootcrate though, although the two I got weren't for things I was interested in they did have value to friends and there have been several ones before and after I subscribed that I liked the look of.

Meh, was exactly my reaction when I checked them out Nerdblock.  The only plus I saw was getting a t-shirt every month but the toys looked weak to me.

So I get home from Comic Con and there waiting for me was a little black box.  I was so happy!

The theme this month was Villains.

Contents:
Rocket Raccoon 1 variant with a Dale Keown cover.  I wish Keown would go back to interiors but his cover is great!
A Joki T-shirt - Joker as Loki
Deadpool socks!
A Bowser magnet
Darth Vader Key chain
Joker and Harley poster reprinting Dustin Nguyen's art and someone else.
DC Villains CD
Loot Crate button.

Honestly, I am floored!  So glad I started ordering this.  :)

Saw in the Shoutbox people are getting the Heroes Loot Crate.  I hope mine is waiting for me when I get home.  To those who already have August's please blow the surprise and let me know what is in it!  :)  Probably best to use Spoiler tag.

Edit:  I just got home and my Loot Crate was there!  In the Spoiler is a list of the haul!

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

i haunt my mail box waiting for the lootcrate

...btw, those lootcrate boxes are **excellent** for packing small stuff.  I brought 4 empty boxes to sdcc & was grateful to have them for packing home trinkets, buttons & other small stuff.
