Not exactly a contest, but it is an auction... and a legitimate auction for charity. 2 four day passes with PN. Current bid is $2,100.You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Not really a contest unless you consider having money to be a race but DC is selling three VIP trips to comic con for $10,000 a pop. I expect these to sell out despite the masses rolling their eyes about it.Think about how much people spend through back channels for passes and hotels once we get closer to the con. Plus I'm pretty sure you can deduct a big chunk of that off your taxes so that softens the blow a bit.You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
How is it that these "contests" or donations only include 2 nights hotel? What the heck are you supposed to do about the other nights during the convention... will you be staying at Geoff Johns place?
If I lived out that way, in California or secifically in or near San Diego, no problem, no compalints... But who in their right mind is going to spend $10,000 for 2 days at the convention? That is desperate. And if I won a contest, yea, I'll take what ever is free, but still it would almost seem rediculous to travel across the counrty (I'm coming from Orlando) for 2 days. I'd want to and need to make it more of a trip. The other point is that most people covet the elusive 4-day badge, so why are their not more contests, give-aways or charity auctions out there that include a 4-day badge and hotel and travel?
