Transmute, where are you from? If you flew down and were having problems depending on what day you went I might be able to help

I appreciate the offer, but I'm nowhere close. I'm in California. But this kind of thing sounds right up my alley! I usually spend most of the day on Sunday at SDCC getting book samples and meeting authors.

sorry, punctuation and sentence structure is key. Which is what I get for fast posting

I was announcing Cary Elwes and was trying to express that I always wanted to use the line "There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. It would be a pity to damage yours."

So this show is for real books?  I mean, like, without pictures and stuff?

didn't even realize there was a VIP option for $75, but it is sold out now.

There is a pretty good guest list for the one day

BookExpo is fabulous. I went last year and came home with a ton of books. I haven't even read half of them yet. I got a lot of good ARCs, too -- the only problem was some of the ones I got didn't come out for months, so I didn't have anyone else to talk about them with!

I'm not sure if this has been on your radar but we've added a ton of guests recently and this show is going to be very cool if you are an avid reader. Take a look!

Did anyone go? I was at the Expo but I had to bail on Saturday because it was just too crowded. I got a huge stack of books, though, so I'm happy.

Oh, it was insane. I count myself fortunate I had a BEA pass and could get on the other 2/3 of the floor, because I needed the space to breathe. I think the whole thing was very poorly done and not well organized. If they want to do a convention revolving solely around books, I'm all for that, but pairing it with the Expo is ridiculous because they are completely different.
