I've definitely scaled back.  I only went on Thursday this year, because the only panel I really wanted to go to was StarTalk, and it's only been on Thursday in the past.  I always check out the exhibit floor, but because they have a lot of the same vendors as SDCC, and because I usually shoot my budget there, it's really not necessary for me to cover the whole floor.

NYCC Panels are a crap shoot, and they don't do a very good job letting you know the schedule (IMO).

Since I got to see the panel I wanted, I may skip NYCC next year.   ???

I do use NYCC to get some of the merch I can’t get at SDCC like the Marvel shirts or the Hallmark stuff. But yeah, I spend a lot less time on the floor. Artists Alley has gotten much worse and a lot apparently moved to AnimeFest.

There was an interesting post on the NYCC subreddit a few days ago: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Short version: Reedpop is using a third-party to organize crew this year and the changes (a less thoughtful hiring process, longer shifts, etc) are making past crew members concerned.

thanks for the heads up.
that is troublesome & doesent' bode well for nycc line management
I will say tho, the line management for most of SWCelebration was decent.

Very informative. Thank you. I had looked at their crew site last week, and it was a lacking in specifics that had been posted for prior NYCC crew.
It is 2024, and I am still asking...where's my flyin' car??!! @fannishmarcia

Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches
Based on Lives of the Mayfair Witches, the best-selling Anne Rice trilogy, Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches is a new contemporary gothic romance series with a propulsive mystery set in a decaying mansion in New Orleans’ Garden District. Join the EPs and cast as they discuss the creative process and bringing these characters from page to screen, as well as share some behind-the-scenes anecdotes from filming in New Orleans. Plus, we will reveal an exclusive asset from the series, which will be debuting in early 2023.

Did they really say asset?

They want it to be such a surprise that they don't even tell you what they'll be revealing!

I'm very curious as to what will be happening on Saturday, since it seems like most of the panel reveals have been for Thur/Fri/Sun so far.
