I'm from the UK and I'm a... never mind.
"G-Force" was so cool back in the day.
Yes it's still cool. Haven't seen it since it was on tv.
World War Z.
In the book, they're the humans who have psychological breakdowns and start acting like the zombies. It's a really neat concept and I'm scared to see how they handle it in the movie (if they touch on it at all).
Mine is for my favorite character that only appears in two Looney Tunes cartoons with Bugs Bunny. The only monster to wear white sneakers!
Bugs Bunny: doing his hair "Bobby Pins Please" is pretty funny :D
Mine favorite is "Pete Puma" , Bugs : "How Many lumps do you want?" Pete : "I want a whole lot of lumps"
That's cool. Does Kyoto have any relationship to kotobuykia?
I was going to make a joke about what type of disc you ride, but then I realized it would have made me sound old. When was the last time you heard someone say "disc jockey"
I had been wondering if that was the origin of your name!
So... do you act like a zombie? ;)
But do you really look like Sprout? ;)

I have been using this username since early teenhood. Dogberry is a comedic character in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, and I loved his use of malapropisms and ironic role in - yeah I better stop before I end up punching myself in the face for being a boring old bint.
Back in the dial up days, all the good Star Wars Aol screen names were taken.
Well at least you know there were 52576 other like minded people at that time in the early 90's.
That you bought at Sam goodies, the warehouse, or tower records.
(my "alter ego" -I'm utterly harmless in real life!)
My age lol.
I doubt that although I'm getting a feeling that I'm not the only one here who remember when Robotech was a great afterschool cartoon that I rushed home to by 3:15 p.m.
Oh yes! Fond memories of rushing home to see Robotech! Which was a great bookend to my day because I also woke up extremely early (6:30 am) to catch Star Blazers. Ah, to be in elementary school again.
My username? My name in my native tongue :)
I never watched Robotech, but Voltron in the afternoons and Battle of the Planets in the morning before school were my Japanese animations of choice. :)
Bump for new forum members.
Thanks Transmute for finding the this thread. :)
I'm kind of attached to the series - I started reading when I was eight, and it was first published the year I was born. Having said that, it still isn't finished! After the fourth book I decided not to continue with it until it is done, as the author has a habit of getting distracted and starting other projects. :P
Sounds like GRR Martin... or Robert Jordan, who up and died before finishing his series!
So we were just back from SDCC in 2012 and my daughter had bought a heavy robe that looks like the Tardis. She was standing next to me as I was joining and I looked at her and said I'm a Tardis Mom. So now I'm stuck with it. :P
Transmute Jun, now she is my cosplay girl. My house is covered in fabric and glitter and craft foam and lots of creativity :). From a robe to a costume maker!
Awesome! What costumes is she making for SDCC this year?
Thanks! What are you planning? I'm looking forward to seeing what you and others will be wearing at the Con!!
In my spare time I also do a Brazilian martial arts called capoeira (for almost 10 years now).
I'll wear a couple of my usual Gatchaman costumes, and probably my Penny costume (from Dr. Horrible) since I'll likely go to the singalong again. I'm working on a new Daenerys costume as well (blue dress and cape from season 3).
There's a discussion on this year's cosplay here.

I told my daughter about your plans and she squealed! She'd like to see your Gatchaman costumes and especially your Dani costume. And she mentioned froyo... :)
LOL, then we'll have to meet up during the Con!
"Angel" comes from my love of Castiel, the angel from Supernatural. The K is a shortened form of my Twitter account, but the word isn't really something that I use outside of Supernatural fandom so I shorten it to "K" everywhere else. Now "Angel K" has become my pen name. People actually know me by that now. It's weird.Too funny. I have been hitting all the Hot Topics searching for Castiel (POP) to no avail. I have both Sam N Dean, but Castiel is super hard to get. Have you tried finding him?

My real name is Flynn Rider. Chris Chen is just my alias. :o

No I haven't but I've seen Sam and Dean at the hot topic out here too. I think he's really super hard to come by. Even friends of mine who ordered online from various places had trouble finding him. People just love cas! When I was in Hot Topic this past weekend, I did overhear the clerks saying that someone was calling around and putting the Castiels on hold-I assumed they were talking about Pops-now I know they were. I guess they are pretty popular.

Long story short my name comes from the Illuminati and we don't exist.

Sure we exist. I can poke people. *pokepokepoke* See? They get annoyed and must therefore exist. :oLol. I think Pyramid means that the Illuminati don't exist, which is proven by the fact that I didn't just mention them in... What was I talking about again? ;)
I'm a big fan of the Black Eyed Peas....................not really.Cut off one Chris, two more will take his place!
"Hail Chris"
I doubt that although I'm getting a feeling that I'm not the only one here who remember when Robotech was a great afterschool cartoon that I rushed home to by 3:15 p.m.Oh f'n A, I just saw this. Robotech *and* Star Blazers!
Dr .Bloodenstuff was a character I created for the Halloween parties my wife & I throw annually. We're big into Halloween. Its based loosely on Dr. Scratchansniff from Animaniacs. My avatar is me dressed up as Dr. Bloodenstuff. Had I given it more thought, I maybe should've used my Twitter handle, UntrueBeliever, since its more comic book related.
This was a fun thread ... dunno how I missed it the last time when I was doing my introduction thread schpeel.
GnomeOnAHill is a new username I'm trying out. I love garden gnomes and have a little collection of them. So I just figured it was fitting to finally implement my fondness into a name.
One of my other favorite usernames that I have on Steam is PlatycornGoodness ... I made a Platypus-Unicorn hybrid mix because I feel like it would be a pretty kickass animal. Subsequently most people just refer to me on there as 'Platy' so its kinda cool.
Great to see you around, MegaDoug! Are you coming back to SDCC this year?
Heck yes! I will be volunteering there at the Art Show in the sails pavilion.
If MegaDoug does not show up with the MegaVan, they might was well cancel comic con. :)
Mine comes from a drunken weekend in Vegas back in the late 90's. I was at Punk Rock Bowling and all the bands had shirts that said east coast punk, west coast punk, east coast hardcore, west coast hard core. Being from Colorado we had no coast so we started joking we were no coast punk which eventually got turned into no coast death squad.
I use it to this day because it reminds me of the carefree days where all my friends became family. We are still friends to this day :)

My daughter inadvertently gave me the nickname Straightline one Christmas around 2001 or 2002, when she was about 4 or 5 years old. We have a tradition in my family where we like to open gifts one at a time, and take our time to "ooh and ahh" over each opening. At some point, we asked the youngest child to play the role of 'elf' delivering gifts, which worked great because younger kids usually feel more involved and less antsy when put to work being elves. (Put them to work and they’re happy about it, go figure.) Now the elf has been part of our tradition for many years.
This particular year, my dad asked my daughter to deliver a small square box wrapped in red paper. I should mention that I'm named after my father and grandfather -- my dad is junior and I am the third. On this particular gift, my dad had addressed it, "To: III, Love: Jr." When my daughter picked up the gift, she stared at the label for a minute, furrowed her brow, and then exclaimed: “this one doesn’t make any sense! It just says straightline, straightline, straightline, with a straightline on top and a straightline on bottom!” Everybody laughed, and the nickname stuck. And the number 3 is my favorite number not only because of the above, but also because I was born at 3:33am. However I don’t usually add 3 to my username unless someone else has already taken straightline, which does not appear to be the case on this forum. So… whoops.
Holy smokes, perhaps I wrote too much to explain my username!
So, mine is probably the most embarrassing name origin. It is the same username I have used since I created my first email address when I was in the 7th grade.
The sprite part comes because for some strange reason, when i would drink Sprite I would get very hyper...even though it contains no caffeine. I eventually grew out of it, but from like 5th-8th grade my friends thought it was hilarious & would egg me on to drink sprite when we were all together. So, when it came time to create an email account, my pre-teen brain thought spritegirl was an awesome idea.
The 24 is my birthday & the 7 is my lucky number. Plus, by making it 24_7 it's also kind of a play on me being spritegirl all the time.
So, since that was my first email account, it stuck, and I use that username for pretty much all of the accounts I have online.
Ha, I have a similar story. My username comes from when I was in 6th or 7th grade also, way back in the early 90's when we had dialup AOL and they had a short username character limit. Back then I was super into fighter jets and I loved the F-15 Eagle, which was designed to combat the Mig-25 Foxbat. Hence, foxbat(killer) was born. I've kept it ever since. It's been my username/email for like 23 years at this point.
I'm changing mine to something like Chris Hassellhoff...
I like the Marx Brothers.
From one of Peyton Manning's MasterCard commercials.

I'm a runner, and whenever I run a race, especially marathons & half-marathons, I tend to run faster in the latter stages (the term is "negative splits"), hence I'm always accelerating.I love your username. I was a long distance runner for a long time (thus the flash avatar).

Every year I tell myself I’m gonna get in a run at SDCC, like early morning before the convention opens, and 14 straight years now, this has yet to happen 🤣You might not be running, but you probably easily walk 30 - 40,000 steps each day.
Because of this, every year during SDCC is my longest stretch without running for the year.
"David" is a family name: i have a bunch of older uncles and great uncles named David, so my grandmother spelled everyones different. She used polish, Irish & russian versions. So, i got "Daevide"
Yes and it can get complicated trying to figure out who is calling who: age, accent and gender pretty much helps you figure out, in about 5 seconds, who should answer, lol
I probably have given it too much thought but my user name is a symbol of my love to TV show friends (watch it if you have not already) and the times i have actually been friend-zoned ! :P
Any Brandon Sanderson fans out there? Mine is a book reference to the series MistbornI’m gonna be doing a double take for awhile since that’s Brandon’s username on Reddit.
