So, ok, WalkerFest. Is that going to be like a tiny mini Walking Dead con with paid photo/signature ops? The $30 is for admission and then, more fees on that with just the panel being included in cost of admission. Sorry if this is obvious info, for some reason, it's hurting my brain to try and figure it out. Also, any benefit to having tickets for both days? I wish there was more information about what exactly will be going on at this little event. Thank you, in advance, for any info!
My assumption is you are correct. An entrance fee. Each guest will have an additional charge for autographs and photo ops.Panels and vendor area freeAncillary items extra - dale's RV, zombie hunt, etc.Prices are different for each guest. They have various VIP levels and they jump ahead of the lines. The one in Dallas was good.It brought in a lot of people that don't go to conventions and are not geeky/nerdy.Walking dead and game of thrones and true blood are pop culture and not niche.I expect the SDCC walker to be packed.
Thanks, I might go ahead and get tickets. It's just so hard to decide where to put the money without any schedules out for anything. Especially since money is tight this year. Thank you, again!
A better angle might be to express these concerns at the Talkback panel.
So has anyone noticed that they are using TicketLeap (the 'frog company') to sell their tickets? The ticket seller that was killed by SDCC attendees has risen up again in a lesser, zombie-like form, to sell Walker Stalker and Walking Dead Escape tickets... Sorry, this just tickled my bizarre sense of humor...
So is this like their "walk of shame"? supporting a lesser con that won't break them
I'm torn about this - I'm a big Walking Dead fan, and I've always wanted to go to a Walker Stalker con, but I'm really only interested in panels and maybe merch, so not sure yet if it's for me. The cost seems steep for a mini-con. On the other hand, I will be in San Diego during that time span.
I don't buy autographs or photo ops, but I'd love to go to the panels.
Same here. Not sure what kind or even how many panels they'll have. Maybe we need to ask someone who's been to WSC, but it seems to be mainly an autograph/photo show, and if it's mini-size, that'll be probably even more true.
