I have taken the train the last 2 years and probably will again. Years prior to that we have used megabus.

I'd like to attend this year for the 1st time. I'll be flying on SW as usually when heading West from the East.

so i'm booked to fly in on thursday the 17th
i *may* be staying in Chicago the mon-Thursday following the con. those part of the plans are up in the air- it depends on which relitives take pitty on me & let me stay at their place or if i totally blow the budget & travel So Cal - Regardless, I did find a wicked cheap nice hostel in Chi town for $45 per nite for the con.
i'm pretty sure it's on the public bus route which frankly was much easier to deal with then the con shuttle.

Hope to see you at the con, Alyssa! I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay at the Hyatt adjacent.

Be sure to check with your hotel as well. Most will have shuttle service.

speaking of hotels, c2e2 seems to be offering folks who buy vip's a chance to book a room. i was able to book the Hyatt just after buying my pass.
idk, if they were offering that click through to other badge types as it popped up after i had bought my vip.

i gotta think they'll open up soon. The rate for the hyatt was $195, iirc, it was the same last year?
