It will be even worse now that they announced the food will be free.

Ok, so expect to actually enter in 2032.  Got it.  ;)

It's this one: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login It looks space-age-y, so it's pretty easy to see why they liked it.

As a part time waitress, I can't help but think what a bummer it is for the servers who won't be working for a week. I wonder (not that anyone here is likely to know) if the owners gave their employees some of the, no doubt, huge amount of cash they got for renting this space out for the whole weekend. Or maybe the employees are helping to run it?

Usually it’s just overlays the studios put up and the regular staff runs it at least that’s how it is for other restraint takeovers from my experience.

True.  I am actually upset about that.  I'd rather they charge something reasonable.

I mean, its Taco Bell right?  Its not that expensive to begin with. If the line is reasonable (like looks less than 30 min) I probably will stop by, but I'm not waiting any longer than that to basically get something I could afford for like under $5.

Umm, they only announced that "  Entry is free and no reservations are needed" and no word on food prices, at least for the dining experience, AIR?

I'm going on what was announced on the SDCC Unofficial blog and didn't read the actual press release (since usually the blog just parrots that).  But you are right.  So unless SDCC Unofficial blog has an inside source about this, I should probably change my thinking that the food is NOT guaranteed to be free.

Taco Bell will be bringing their Nacho Fries back to menus nationwide on July 12, but later in the month during San Diego Comic-Con, on Thursday, July 19 – Sunday, July 22. They will offer a Demolition Man pop-up and a futuristic and upscale Taco Bell dining experience near the convention center, where you’ll presumably be able to pick up some Nacho Fries while you wait. You can stop by 658 Fifth Ave in San Diego from 6PM-12AM nightly for free food, and no badge is required. There will also be exclusive Taco Bell and Demolition Man merchandise available for purchase.

Oh, yeah, hmm, makes sense to give fries away, though.

Waiting on details on how we can...

We confirmed directly with Taco Bell. Food is free. They'll have merch/exclusives for sale though.

I was wondering about that since the first announcement I saw only said that entry was free.  The lines will be massive.

Just enhance your calm. If you get upset you’ll be fined one credit for a violation of the verbal morality statute. I’m more worried about eating there and needing the three seashells
Fun isn’t something one considers when preparing for Comic-Con, but attending does put a smile on my face

This is the perfect offsite, especially since the film used the Convention Center (and other sites around SD) for shooting. I will not wait in a big line for free Taco Bell though. I am curious about what the merch will be!

Several years ago, Subway had a free sandwich promotion during SDCC and the lines were insane! I expect the same or even worse for this. I'll definitely try to check it out, though. Every year, I always try to make it a point to see things outside of the convention center, but never do because of exclusives, signings and panels.
