SDCC Crazy Hair ideas
« on: June 12, 2019, 05:38:26 PM »
So it occurred to me, what with the 50th celebrations and all... it's a perfect time for some crazy hair

I'm looking at some demi perm. colors in combinations. my hair is finally getting light enough so it'll take dye without bleaching it...
anyone got ideas?
i can't quite do this yet, but i can see going there.

I'm guessing this one on the left would need bleaching too?

how about this one

here's my current hair

As someone who loves crazy hair colors I would go for the one on the top or the dark blue multicolor. But you will have to bleach even on the darker ones. You can it without bleach but from my own experience the color fades super fast if you don’t bleach. No matter which one you do I recommend using a technique like co-wash or Wen You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login instead of shampoo. My purple from 2017 stayed for a whole year because I used Wen instead of shampoo the girl who does my hair was shocked on how bright my color was a year later.

I would love to dye my hair but my office job has rules against it.  That said, if I could figure out a way to do it with a dye that only lasts 9 days (the duration of my trip) or just dye parts i could hide at work (like the tips, which I hide under a bun at work, or the underside, which hides when my hair is down or something (I never wear my hair down tho so that last one is hard)) then I'd be all in for Team Crazy Hair.  Last time I died my hair was in college when I had no such restrictions.

Ooohhh love these ideas.  I need to get a haircut before con so maybe I can ask them for suggestions. Not for an actual dye job as a professional dye job will likely... last too long.  But maybe a cut that would allow me to conveniently hide fun colors at work. Or just do the koolaid thing.

Yeah, a lot of students do the Koolaid thing because it's cheap and washes out relatively quickly.

I did kool aid dip dye streaks in blue. They aren’t that bright though so I may attempt a touch up later this week. I have to straddle the line with my job tho.  Too bright and it’s off to hr ):

Why don't you do a washout? Bring enough for the con and have fun! There are sprays, mousse, gels, creams...have fun without the stress of freaking out work!

This is a great idea. Hot topic sells Manic Panic it’s semi permanent so if you do a few streaks before you leave for CA it should be washed out before you go back to work

Ohhh really? Those always scare me because I'm afraid it WONT wash out.  But it should be gone in like 9 days or so?  That's how long my trip is.
