2018 TV Cancellations
« on: March 09, 2018, 06:57:03 PM »
Let the crying begin. Seems like it's time for the 2018 thread.

I will start with this major bummer:

TNT cancels The Librarians...  :'( :'( :'(

I wasn't a regular viewer, but I did catch up either from my phone app or on demand.  Hope I get to see the actors in other series.

I liked watching it but in all honesty it just wasn't that good.   I do agree though the talent on the show was really good and hopefully they can find something that will get a bigger audience.

I loved the show and thought it was great. It followed the spirit of the movies, which was on the cheesy side, but that was the charm, for me. It was nice to have something light-hearted in the genre. Plus, Christian Kane is a favorite of mine. Dean Devlin is shopping it around, so maybe it will show up elsewhere. It actually performed decently fot TNT, but they want to focus on edgier content.

I liked the movies and I really like the first two season but this last season has felt uninspired to me.   If it gets picked up somewhere else I'm not I'll still find myself watching it.

Just read an article that said Ash Vs Evil Dead has been cancelled. Yet I can't find any official confirmation.
Anybody heard anything?

I hope not!

But it doesn't make sense. Season 3 just started airing. How can they even judge the audience?

3 episodes in, they know how many people are watching. Hell, shows have been cancelled after 1 or 2 episodes before! I hope it's not true.....and if it is true, I hope Netflix picks it up!

Yeah, but they messed with the timing of Season 3. Everyone expected it in the fall, and it was delayed until winter. A lot of people might not even know season 3 is on the air.

IIRC there has been a lot of back and forth with Starz over the past few months regarding AvED being canceled. I think Bruce sent out a signal boost last year around this time that they were fighting for two more seasons. And it seems like there is always a call to action circulating about a different cable company dropping Starz every other week. It's a shame, I love the show. Wish they would have picked a production company that was more supportive to work with them.

I agree that this last season had no spark. They need to tighten up the scripts. The talent is there, they just need to use it. I would prefer way less Finn as well.

Sounds like that outlet is looking for extra clicks by creating some bs stuff. Nothing official is out there, but I am expecting bad news later this year. The ratings are down :( but it doesn’t mean to create fake news which I believe they did. Btw, I checked the article again after you shared it on Twitter asking the same question and I do not see “cancelled” anywhere. I wonder...not on you but them.

There is a special site that reports the latest cancellations.
