Just finished the series, and WOW!  Nicely done weaving the 4 into 1 coherent story, and that ending!  Admittedly, I still haven't watched Iron Fist, and I wasn't lost watching The Defenders.

I loved it!   First two are slow setting up what is about to happen and then they all get in a room together and it takes off with the excitement I had anticipated.

I *loved* the growing dynamic between the Luke Cage and Iron Fist characters...that opens up all sorts of possibilities (Heroes for Hire anyone??)

Can we add spoilers to the title? Just in case some people are more disciplined than me and didn't binge it all right away.

Haven't started The Defenders yet, I'm trying to finish Luke Cage before I move on. Looks really good though!

Has anyone heard of Netflix getting rid of their original marvel shows? I read a post about it on Facebook but I haven't heard anything else about it.

[member=7574]LianaV909[/member] I remember hearing that the Marvel movies would be going away from Netflix but nothing about the original series.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I believe Disney is starting their own streaming service and is pulling back Marvel and Star Wars content for that reason. That being said, Netflix was in charge of writing and producing those series, so they should have some rights to the content. Even if it gets pulled from Netflix itself and moved to the Disney streaming service, Disney will likely have to pay Netflix some kind of royalties.

Ohh, just hoping the shows continue whether on Netflix or on Disneys new streaming service. Daredevil and Jessica Jones are my favorite and I really want to continue watching them. I know Netflix is going to release The Punisher soon so I was confused about what was going to happen, thanks!

I'm fairly sure the series will continue, given their popularity. The real question is whether Disney will leave them in Netflix's hands (they have been capable so far) or take them back for their own streaming service.

Finished it last night. Thought it was terrible. Nothing happens for most of the season. We keep getting told The Hand are bad but what have they actually done? It's never fully explained.
The four leads don't work well together. JJ is sidelined throughout when in fact she is the only interesting character. Iron Fist - give me a break! If I was fighting him and his hand started to glow then I'd know what he was about to do. It's his only move and it's boring.

The Defenders seemed like a good idea on paper. But on TV it simply doesn't work. It doesn't have that magic multi-character blend that works so well in The Avengers.

I think since Netflix is very much involved in the production of their Marvel/Netflix shows they'll get to keep them.  Any Marvel property where they're not involved with production they lose.
