Can anyone recommend a place to rent a car and parking? I assume airport rental is the best place? I'm staying at The Bristol and getting there early. I plan to pick up the car on Monday night and returning it Wednesday. I see on Google Maps that there is parking right by The Bristol called Executive Complex. Does anyone have experience with this parking lot? I'm hoping not to pay an arm and a leg but I realize it's downtown and during convention time.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this. Let me know if I should ask somewhere else.

Instead of using the airport, why not use one of the downtown car rental locations? That way you could walk to pickup and walk back after dropoff.

I believe that there is an Enterprise at the Hilton Bayfront, and Hertzs at MMM and MGH.

There is also an Enterprise at 900 F St. and an Avis at 640 Broadway.

I took the bus my first year, it was a pretty straight shot.

So are people still checking?  I haven't seen any downtown hotels pop up this week.  Some of the Mission Valley and Airport hotels have become unavailable though.

May 31st is the last cancellation deadline with 1 room night refunded, so there may be some action just before next Wednesday.

Hope that Solamar Suite just became available from inventory and wasn't a refund, because that is one hefty Deposit Penalty. $570+. Ouch!

Per the website it’s a 570 sq ft corner suite.  King bed, full size sleeper sofa in a separate living room with a jetted tub. But $570 still seems pricey for a place to store my stuff while I sleep on concrete.  Might be ideal for a group of 4-6 though

I was wondering what made it worth that much ...at a con rate, too.
