This will be my 19th SDCC.  I don't really get stressed.  I do review the schedule a lot.

But, the key to less stress is to remember you can't do everything and that even if you don't get into your first choice panel or party, you'll still find something awesome to do.

Hey, we have the same start date!

Honestly I don't really stress too much.  The amount of pre-planning I do ahead of time I think blunts any anxiety I would have.  Also, since I'm on vacation for those two weeks (week of SDCC and week after) I'm slammed at work trying to get stuff done, so my mind is off Comic Con for the most part.

Ok...I have taken some of these great ideas to heart and to action.

I found I needed to get to actually start packing and get that out of my head.

I turn off SDCC completely at least for a little while and do something totally not... yeah, like work.

In the car going to work, I am singing really loudly and that is helping me breathe and getting some anxiety out of my body.

Picking 1 thing each day that is a goal, that if I miss even that, realizing there are soooo many cool things and people that is ok.  Something magical always happens at SDCC!
It is 2024, and I am still asking...where's my flyin' car??!! @fannishmarcia

I struggle with this too. It's really slow at work this week so it's hard to pass the time. There's only so much cleaning one can do in their apartment, ya know?

My computer was broken for 2 hours today at work so I literally spent 2 hours cruising these forums today haha.  But oh god I'm so useless at work right now. I can't think straight.

Our dog is a total mess (more so than usual.) I'm working from home today and doing laundry and 1000 other things and he totally knows something big is going on.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo checked out at work, it is not even funny.  I'm getting a ton of stuff done, but my brain is elsewhere.

SAME.  Though I am staying in "after call" a bit longer than normal  :o  I answer phones for my company but I can put myself in "after call" to finish up work like faxes or whatever the case may be.  I'm being a super bad employee right now and taking fooooorever to send faxes because my mind is on SDCC lmao.

I was really hoping to take an extra day off tomorrow to get my crap together at home (I'm working Saturday to cover vacation for one of my sale's floor people and I'm in on Monday and I leave Tuesday) BUT everything and everyone have been so crazy that I'm still behind on my to do list.

What I really need is 3 solid uninterrupted hours at work so I can actually finish something. I still don't even have my sdcc schedule put together in any way.
Do these tacos taste funny to you?
