So jealous-I would love to go to that one. My sister-in-law drives down from Illinois and loves it. I have a bag that I have been getting signed by the cast. I would love to get Andrew Lincoln's on it.

It looks really awesome! My sister and I saw the photos from last year's con in Atlanta and since she can't come to SDCC this year, we couldn't resist ;D

Wow, yours looks like it turned out better than the Denver one.  We didn't really have any main cast members here and people were really disappointed.  Of course most of us got our tickets for free (with $9 service fee), so they were desperate to fill it.   I actually sat in the press area at the one here and started chatting so they never kicked me out.  I didn't find out it was press until later.  Nothing was clearly marked.

The panels never filled so there was plenty of room for everyone.

Very thankful ours was indoors.

Wow, that sounds like a lackluster con! Sort of like the little mini one they had in San Diego during SDCC, where they only had 'dead' people as guests, even though the entire main cast was across the street in Hall H.

But hey, it was (practically) free and it was indoors.

It was definitely worth the price and the air conditioning!

Thanks for the write-up! Didn't realize it was at Fort Mason, next year they should move it to San Jose too :) Or Colma! (Bay Area joke, Colma's where all of the graveyards are.)

If you'd known it was at Fort Mason, would you have come? Maybe next year!

Having it during Easter weekend was a deal breaker, too much going on. Maybe next year?

I'm so used to WonderCon being during Easter, it didn't feel right without a con! And I got to see Jesus on Easter....  ;)

ROFL, I didn't think of that.  I'm serious about Colma though.

Great review of SF Walker Stalker, [member=314]Transmute Jun[/member]! I agree with everything you said in the article. I went on Saturday and even though 7000 is a small number compared to other Bay Area cons like Fanime or SVCC, the warm weather and small venue made it seem uncomfortably packed. I wasn't a huge fan of the outdoor stage since it was pretty hard to hear at times and it was also hard to see the panel if you're standing in the back behind other people. They did have a pretty good lineup though and I was happy that all the attendees got to see their favorite celebrities.

I agree, the seating was insufficient. You can't have 300 seats for a con of 7,000 when that's the only panel stage. If you were standing in the back near the food trucks, it's no wonder you couldn't see/hear very well! I was lucky enough to get a seat at the panels, but only because I had a VIP badge and I put in the time to line up for every panel I wanted at least an hour ahead of time. IMHO it was nearly impossible for general admission to get seats: they only took about 20 people each time, so they had to line up early AND have the possibility of being disappointed.

And removing the seating on Sunday only made the problem worse. The standing area was closer, but it would still be just as hard to see behind 5 people. The stage wasn't high enough for a big clump of standing viewers to be able to see.

It was definitely too big a con for the space. Apparently last year when this con was at Fort Mason it was held in 2 buildings and the panel area had many more seats and was covered. Hopefully if they hold it there again next year they will have use of another building.

Did they stop doing the Walking Dead Escapes all together?  Loved doing that run through Petco at SDCC but looked online and don't see anything about them anymore.
