I'm adding something to my SDCC shopping list now because I LOVE red vines.

I found a refillable water bottle and easy to transport/open snacks are a necessity... food in the con leaves a bit to be desired. ::)

I don't know you guys, last year I found the onion rings for sale on the floor to be quite delightful.

Refillable water bottle is an absolute must. An extra power supply for my device(s) is very helpful. I always have Kind bars and trail mix. I clip an REI three legged camp stool to my pack. As I’ve chronicled earlier, having a treat (like RedVines) to share in line is by far the the most valuable thing I carry.

Also if you have space for it, taking a few shake ice packs.   One year it was super hot and I got a bit of vertigo I think from the heat, I had 1 of these in my bag, shook it and put it on the back of my neck while I sat against the wall for a bit. I didn't have to immediately fight the crowds to get to first aid, I just sat where I was and took a break with the ice pack. Once the dizziness went away I got up and got some water. Not saying you have to pack these and they don't stay cold long, but if you think you may have need for them bring a handful with you.

Extra power supply is critical!!  I also take a REI chair... but one that is an actual chair...it is about the size of a loaf of bread, very light weight and easy to set up and take down.

On the opposite spectrum be careful not to burden yourself down with too much. Really depends an what you are doing that day. My panel days my backpack is loaded down with a days worth of supplies :) Offiste and show floor days backpack is empty to fill with purchases and swag except for essentials being my powerbank charger, and hydroflask bottle.

I do the same thing as [member=5606]tsnyder[/member]. Loaded down on panel days, bare necessities when I hit the floor.

I say this every year, but if you are someone who gets blisters or hot spots.....or well even if you never have before, but have never been to SDCC and don't yet understand the amount of walking you will do, take Dr. Scholl's Moleskin! It's a lifesaver and keeps you going. Apply directly to your blisters or hot spots and it's like they aren't even there.

This is  a good thing to have^^^... as well as COMFORTABLE shoes (that are broken in). I take at least 2 pairs and switch back and forth each day. That way if one pair rubs I'm not aggravating the same area everyday.

Cooling cloths (like the ones runners and construction workers use) are a must if you run hot like me.  For 'offsite days', it is a requirement.  Not only does it keep you cool, it's easy to replenish if it gets dry AND it keeps the sun off your neck.

If that is anything like my Helinox chairs then YES! Probably my best quality of life purchase for SDCC in a few years. So comfy and easy to carry in a backpack that you could have it on you everyday, just in case (though I don't do this).

Also, greetings to a fellow Team Valor member.
