10:00am —  11:00am    Rube Goldberg: A) Inventive B) Cartoon C) Genius
Room 29AB
Celebrate the genius of Rube Goldberg with his granddaughter Jennifer George, Charles Kochman (editorial director, Abrams ComicsArts), Sergio Aragonés (cartoonist, Groo the Wanderer), and special panelists who knew Rube or were inspired by his work, as they share stories of the legendary cartoonist's life and career. Rube Goldberg (1883-1970) was best known for his comical inventions that use overly complicated chain reactions to complete simple tasks. See home movies and rare and never-before-seen images from the family's archives, including his very first published drawings from his high school newspaper, his iconic inventions, rare comic strips, and advertising work, to his Pulitzer Prize-winning political cartoons and later sculpture.

10:00am —  11:15am   Jack Kirby Tribute Panel
Room 5AB
Each year, time is set aside to talk about Comic-Con's first superstar guest and the man they call The King of the Comics, Jack Kirby. Jack left us in 1994 but his influence on comics, film, and this convention has never been greater. Discussing the man and his work this year are Kevin Eastman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Kirby biographer Ray Wyman, Jr., Scott Dunbier (director of special projects, IDW Publishing), and attorney Paul S. Levine. Naturally, it's moderated by former Kirby assistant Mark Evanier.

I saw this on the schedule and immediately marked it down to attend... then saw Sherlock in Hall H. So I'll be doing Sherlock, but this definitely sounds like a really cool panel, and I'll be sad to miss it!

Any word about a Marvel Plus Unlimited Members only panel? I think it was in the Indigo Ballroom on Sunday the last 2 years.

I tend to think we'll hear about it in the next week. Marvel is historically late to announce.
