Suspiria footage shown at Cinemacon.
« on: April 27, 2018, 01:04:27 PM »
At the Amazon Studios panel yesterday I probably saw the most gruesome & disturbing horror scene I've ever seen. From the remake of Suspiria, it was so shocking some people walked out or turned away. Warning description in the spoiler is not for the faint of heart.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

And this from Luca Guadagnino the director of Call me by your name.

I had no idea they were doing a remake. That's pretty bold.

I google'd Suspiria and am now thoroughly intrigued/scared/nauseated.

Well, Italian Giallo films are known for their heavy imagery. The original is known for some gruesome stuff like the famous scene where a woman is thrown into a pit of barbed wire and kills herself trying to get out. I'd think anyone interested in seeing a Suspiria remake knows what they are getting.

Hey I'm still going to see it, when it comes out.
On a completely different note, Beautiful Boy with Steve Carrell and Timothee Chalamet looked amazing, definite Oscar contender from the footage I saw at the same Amazon Studios presentation.

Soooo excited for this film, based on the descriptions that a couple of friends of mine told me (in addition to the published descriptions)
