The 2nd round of the Autograph Ticket Online Giveaway is now posted on the NYCC site.
Friday October 4th at 12pm EDT. Same setup as the first round.
The signings this time are
Hercules on Saturday the 12th
Teen Wolf on Friday the 11th
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Saturday the 12th
http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/Whos-Coming/Autographs/Free-Private-Autographing/ (http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/Whos-Coming/Autographs/Free-Private-Autographing/)
Disappointed they don't have a Walking Dead signing.
I wonder if this will be the last round since they don't have anything about looking out for another round like they did after the first round.
-
it is possible there will be more rounds. maybe they are waiting for the biggest right before the show to really reduce any chance of scalping selling. Like it could be the 7th or 8th and you have to reply that day and any leftovers from all of the giveaways could go up the 8th or 9th.
-
I sure hope there's another round after this next week sometime, with The Walking Dead included. It's one of the main reasons I wanted to go on Saturday, really. :( Time is running out though....
-
No SHIELD?
-
I may be alone here but I am very disappointed in this round, with it being so close to the Con, I thought it would be someone bigger like TWD or SHIELD
-
Well, the SHIELD press release did mention a signing but I wonder if Marvel is just going to handle it like they always do.
-
A bunch of young girls are probably happy about the teen wolf thing
But who's at the TMNT? New cartoon artist or original creators?
-
I'm excited about Teen Wolf and I'm 30 :P
-
I'm just glad I signed in here last night, because it was the only way I even knew about Round 2. I never saw anything about it on Facebook, or Twitter. I guess I'd better just keep checking in here often if I want to hear about when Round 3 takes place. :P
-
I'm sure they'll tweet/FB about it soon. :D
-
Probably. But all the good scoop is here first. ;D
-
I believe only free signings in private rooms, are being done this way. Anything Marvel related will probably at their booth.

My guess would be that they will want to have it at their booth for max marketing impact.
-
According to Brian, there will be NO The Walking Dead signing.
-
Chucky cast autographing has been added to this round:
http://nycc13.mapyourshow.com/5_0/sessions/sessiondetails.cfm?ScheduledSessionID=18AFCCC5
-
When and where did Brian declare that there would be no Walking Dead signing please?
-
I asked him via Twitter about who would be there for Teen Wolf and he added that there would be no TWD signing.
Brian Stephenson â€@briansteez 15h
@SDCCnerdsattack We also got some bad news today. Looks like the walking dead cast are not going to do a signing unfortunately.
I asked if he knew why and said it was an AMC decision.
-
Yes. There will be no walking dead signing at NYCC this year. We wanted to make it happen but ultimately AMC decided that they didn't want to move forward with it. It is a bummer but these things happen sometimes and I'm sure that there were some legit reasons for AMC not doing it. My guess is that their schedule is extremely tight and that they are running in for the panel and then right back out of the building.
If Marvel is doing a signing it will take place in their booth and they will handle how tickets are given out.
On the autographing front we are supposed to find out who from Teen Wolf is attending very shortly and we will let you know as soon as we do. We are also adding in all of the forfeit autograph tickets from round 1 so everyone will have another shot at Person of interest, robot chicken, etc. There weren't many that were forfeit but there were some so we are adding those into round 2.
If you are a winner in round 2 you will receive an e-mail from us with specific instructions and you must respond back to us with the required info. We are making some small tweaks to make everything a bit clearer this time around. Good luck to everyone!
-
displeased. As a UA VIP ticket holder I do have some level of expectations and I think that is something that should not occur.
There are a lot of great things but this highly upsets me. If they are on the badges, have the best panel timeslot, and as heavily promoted as they are, they should be forced to sign for 50 fans. They can take an hour.
Yes, thanks for the info Brian. I am sure you pushed heavily
-
Thanks again for all the info Brian!
-
The #TeenWolf panel at this year's @NY_Comic_Con will be Jeff Davis, @dylanobrien and @lindenashby! It's a Stilinski family affair!
-
Bummer about TWD but I understand these things happen :(
Brian, is there any chance of a meet and greet w/Archer?? I would love to meet the cast!
-

I'm not sure what being a UA VIP ticket holder has to do with the signing. Your UA VIP pass will get you reserved seating for their panel but it did not guarantee you a signing. You would have been in the same random raffle for WD autograph tickets as everyone else so being a UA VIP holder really wouldn't benefit you in any way for a walking dead signing. Furthermore, we can't force any guest to do something they or their studio don't want them to do. There are tons of huge panels at SDCC that do not have signings attached to them. I'm sure that AMC had some very good reasons for not doing a signing this year. Yes it is a bummer and we wanted it to happen but unfortunately sometimes these things are out of our hands.
Missy...I'm not sure if there will be a signing with the archer cast. I will check with our content team and let you know. Thanks!

Hey Brian,
I fully I understand that there was no guarantee of getting an autograph ticket regardless of pass level. That said when people do place a lot of money into the tickets, such as the VIP tickets, part of the expectations is for the show runners to bring the content you as the show attendee feels is worth paying extra for. In my opinion, one of my expectations was to see TWD doing a cast signing regardless of whether or not I got a ticket. If they were there and I did not get a signing pass ok fine but there is not even the possibility now of getting a signature, and that is where my displeasure comes from.
Also I should not have said forced them to sign, what I was getting at in an uneloquent fashion was that it really should have been made part of the contract for them to do a signing, considering how heavily they are being promoted.
I understand you guys did a great job for the show, and I really do not mean to create tension, especially as we have met and hung out at the NYCC events and you are a cool guy, but for once we will just have to disagree on this. I did not mean any hard feelings between us, but I am a bit upset about this news.
-
I admit I am NOT happy about the news of no autographs/pics/etc. with TWD cast, especially seeing that they made the time to do so at SDCC. But us East coasters who weren't able to make it to that miss out...and that sucks that AMC has made this decision, that's all I can say.
Bet they won't be able to discuss season 4 all that much on their Q&A panel either, just judging by how they've handled appearances of cast members at other Cons I've attended this year. That was also AMC's decision. In fact at one Con at Norman Reedus' Q&A no one was even allowed to ask about the show AT ALL. Nothing about past seasons, even. We were only allowed to ask him about his other roles in other shows, movies, etc. And none of the cast at that Con was allowed to appear at the same Q&A -- they all had to have their own separate sessions. Also dictated by the network.
So to say I'm not happy with how AMC's handing cast appearances this year is an understatement. Yes, I know...at least they're allowed to be guests at Cons at all. But still.... :-\ :(
Thanks, Brian, for letting us know. I'm sure you tried your best.
-
well then you will be happy at the panel, this is a licensed AMC TWD panel. They will be discussing the show, likely will have a clip of the new season or opening scene of the new season (last year they did).
They can talk about TWD here
-
Wow, the info about the other conventions is really interesting.
-
Wow, the info about the other conventions is really interesting.
it is true at Wizard World they are not allowed to discuss. But lets get back to the topic of giveaway 2.
One final note, I did have a job interview today so was a bit on edge from my earlier post and may have spouted my first post without a reread
-
I'm looking forward to Teen Wolf now, knowing who's going to be there. Fingers crossed for that one!

Thank goodness!! I was half hoping we'd get a clip from S4 that hasn't aired yet, since the premiere after all is Sunday the 13th. It would be even neater if there was a special airing of the first episode at the Con. ;D Hey...I can dream. But even the first 15 minutes of the show would be a treat.
Wondering now who will be included in Round 3. Maybe there will still be someone I'll want to see......

Do you only have once chance to enter for each ticket? Or can you try multiple of times?
-
You can only enter once for each ticket. You can try for all four sessions, but only once per session.

-
Brian,
if my friend wins, and they do not have a valid photo ID [on account they accidentally threw it away ] , would a Valid US Passport suffice?
-
Welp, I didn't win Teen Wolf >:(
-
got a TMNT, wanted Hurcules
-
YAY! I won The Following!
-
I won Venture Bros and Robot Chicken too, but I want Hercules
-
It's funny because I tried for The Following first, but said they were all gone. Then tried for TW. Then figured might as well try for the Following again, in case the inventory wasn't added at first.
-
I tried for Teen Wolf and the Following. But I lost. :(
-
Didn't get anything again. Would much rather show up early and get tickets than try to compete online and get nothing.
-
If I can't get a trade for Hercules I'll send you my Venture Bros or TMNT if it helps
-
If I can't get a trade for Hercules I'll send you my Venture Bros or TMNT if it helps
Thanks as I'll take them.
-
Most people who camped out or came early last year for walking dead tickets, didn't get them. The real problem here is there only probably about 50 tickets for hundreds/thousands people come for them.
-
@NYRider is right. If you weren't in line by 11pm the night before you didn't get Walking Dead autograph tickets. The reason why robot chicken, The following etc went so fast today was because there were only a few available as these were the tickets that were forfeit from round 1. All others are still available.
@MZfeebs Yes...a passport would work.
Good luck!
-
If anyone got autograph tickets they don't want, I'll take them. Thanks.
-
I didn't get teen wolf either. Super sad :(
-
Boo Linds!
-
It's funny because I tried for The Following first, but said they were all gone. Then tried for TW. Then figured might as well try for the Following again, in case the inventory wasn't added at first.
This is why I don't like it being an online drawing instead of an in person drawing. I tried for the following right at 12pm and it didn't even give me a chance to win it just said all tickets were gone already which since you won tickets after it first telling you the same thing about tickets being gone already was not true so it must have been a glitch or something when it said tickets were already all gone.
-
Damn didn't win any :/ I was really hoping to get into the Chucky signing but thats my luck I suppose.
-
I wonder if since The Following and Person of Interest were "leftover" tickets, if that's why there was a delay in them hitting the system.
-
I won Venture Bros and Robot Chicken too, but I want Hercules
I initially wasn't going to try my hand at the tickets today, but thought I'd give it a shot in case I could help someone here. I won a ticket for Hercules - do you still need one?
By the way, HI everyone! Been lurking the boards, first post (hope I'm doing this right). :)
-
Hi Michelle, Yeah still looking for Hurcules. I have a TMNT, if you want to trade. I'm still waiting on the emails.
and have venture Bros as well, send me a message
Robot Chicken is however ALL MINE.
-
I wonder if since The Following and Person of Interest were "leftover" tickets, if that's why there was a delay in them hitting the system.
The problem was at least for me once it said tickets were all gone i gave up and didn't try again. Then i hear that people won tickets by going back after it said tickets were gone really annoys me. No guarantee i would have won but it would have been nice to get a chance to win.
-
really wish there was a defiance signing
-
Mini Rant
I really don't get these people saying they don't understand how it works, or asking people who they won. It's chance. Everyone enters the same way. It's a raffle!
-
is anyone getting emails I am still waiting on mine
-
I won TMNT.
I'm still waiting on my email as well.
-
Still waiting but I think it took awhile last time.
-
I won robot chicken in the first round and the email came the next day.
-
Considering people are selling tickets and stuff now...just really frustrated by this situation now.
-
People have been annoying the crap out of me lately.
-
The e-mail will go out later this evening and you will need to respond to us with information. Be on the lookout for the e-mail.
If you see any autograph tickets being sold online let us know and we will have the listings pulled down. We have not seen any and there have been no scalping issues from round one.
I like a lot of what this online raffle system has accomplished but we will be making changes to our strategy for future shows. Thanks for the feedback.
-
I'd keep an eye on Facebook groups Brian. That's probably where a lot of them will be going down.
-
Yeah I don't mind the trading or gifting of the ticket but to see see people asking for money ON THE OFFICIAL NYCC FB PAGE is grinding
-

I've been on FB site all day and no post that I've seen are scalping their autograph ticket. I've seen like 2 people offering to buy but no one selling/scalping. I do see a lot of trade offers.
-
On that note, I WON this round! I won a Chucky autograph. I'm a fan and stoked but a bigger fan of TMNT, Hercules and The Following so if anyone on here wants to trade let me know. You can PM me or post here.
-
We are in the process of dealing with anyone we see trying to sell an auto ticket. Their tickets are being pulled. I have zero tolerance for that. I'm fine with trading if people want to do that to get what they want.
Regardless we won't be using this system going forward. It actually did work well for lots of people but we can improve it. We will have a different process next time as we have already learned a lot from this experiment.
-
really wish there was a defiance signing
Really REALLY surprised there isn't. They had no problems signing at a certain other con last month. *Baffled*
That being said, I won a Hercules ticket, and would love to trade for a Following, Person of Interest, Robot Chicken or maybe even Chucky. Would also consider Teen Wolf cause it looks like I could trade that for anything too :)
-

Phew on the trading, cause I am trying to get a Hercules for myself, bit I too dislike this selling
-
Glad to hear you guys are taking things seriously Brian!
-
so then looks like there will be another round since Sleepy Hollow was announced as a cast signing on the FB page, hopefully Agents of Shield, and defiance get in also
-
sleepy hollow is first come first serve, its free and i don't believe it will be ticketed o.o but then again who knows. at least that is what the person who posts on the official nycc fb posted.
on another note i did win this time around.
Teen Wolf ;D
never felt so happy after having a really crappy day but i decided that i will pass this ticket along to my older sister who is in love with the show.
i never watched it but i enjoy looking at my followers tumblr posts about the show.
well only a few more days left! can't believe this will be the 8th year. i've been going to this show for 8 whole years. man i'm old now hahah i was 17 then !
-
SHIELD will be held like any other Marvel signing, at their booth. Sleep Hollow is a free signing at Table 7 I think.
-
Sleepy Hollow Cast for signing free on Sunday between 4pm and 5pm, at Autograph table 7 in the Autograph Area:

Glad to see the Sleepy Hollow news. I'm really liking the show so far, and it'll be cool to see their Q&A and maybe meet the cast. :)

Of course this is happening at the exact same time as the x-files panel. I only have 2 must see panels the whole con and x-files is one of them. Oh well that's my bad luck.
-

Actually Brian I liked this system, felt it was very fair and saved a ton of time and stress. It's random and you know within moments if you got a ticket or not. That way if you didn't, you can go about and plan other fun events. Way better than sitting in a huge line for even an hour, hoping and praying you'd make the cut, then if you didn't, then you've wasted a ton of time and stress. This system took all that out and for me, worth it.
Remember, the loudest voices you'll hear through this are the ones that didn't win or are unsatisfied. How many others are cool with it but those aren't the post you'll hear about. Plus, put this feedback into perspective of what SDCC gets for their ticket sales and I'd say this is pretty mild.
However I understand we are always looking to improve and if you are able to find a more fair and easier system with all these same benefits, I'm all for it but do please keep the 2 real strengths of this one ... random/fair and time saver (no camp outs).
Thanks for taking time to give us such personal attention on here!

Question about redeeming your autograph ticket. One of the things they tell you to respond to the email with is the following: Your NYCC User ID or NYCC Ticket Registration Confirmation number (found on the confirmation email you received when you ordered your NYCC Ticket).
Don't have my confirmation number - I ordered tickets 5 months ago and tossed the email. So what is my User ID? The number on my badge?

you can likely go to showclix.com and get the confirmation number by logging into my tickets

ARRGH. I missed that fact. Yeah, I wanted to see the X-Files panel as well. :P Now I'm going to have to choose... grrrr.

Brilliant! Thank you.
-
Hey so I bought tickets from Midtown comics (aka not online) and I won a signing and got the email to send them my user-id or confirmation number. Since I don't have a confirmation number, what is the User-Id number? Is that the number on the back of my pass?
-
Nvm, I found the answer on facebook:
New York Comic Con: Your Confirmation number is on the receipt of your online order. the NYCC-ID (or User ID) is located on the back of your badge
-

I have mixed feelings about the process. I did think it was a good idea but after several unsuccessful attempts at various shows I was a bit disappointed. The sting was heightened with the social media tie-in to give me better odds of scoring a ticket. Why should I communicate to all of my FB contacts what I am trying o get tickets to? Frankly, I do not understand the correlation on how my chances would be increased. I saw it simply as a means to increase click-throughs and other stats. I put it into another context: I am standing on line for a draw and I get a second, third, or fourth chance because I sent out a tweet. The people behind me would not be so happy if they did not send out a tweet or as many tweets as me.
I had much better results standing in line at SDCC. Granted I did not get everything I wanted but I came home with some nice momentos.
-
Does anybody want TMNT?
-
I'll take the TMNT! PM for details. Anybody have the following or PoI? I tried from 11:59 to 12:05 and they were instantly gone. I didn't even have a chance to enter.

If you haven't completed a deal and still have it. I'd love it. I can trade a Hercules for it!
-

I haven't heard back and need to send the info since I'm super busy today.
-
Once we've answered the confirmation email, how do we actually get the autograph tickets? Is this something we need to do the morning of the signing?
-
I think we get another email telling us when and where to pick everything up.
Looks like we get more info on the 8th:
You or the person you have designated to redeem the Autograph Ticket will be notified on October 8 with specific instructions on how to redeem your Autograph Ticket onsite at NYCC.
-
So a bit of a "newb" question in preparation for the signings ... Do they usually supply you with a poster or similar or do you have to bring in your own item to sign? I know in SDCC they pretty much always supply the item if you attend a signing like this, safe to say NYCC too? Anyone with any personal experience on that?
-
I actually asked Brian via Twitter that same question but no answer yet. I'd assume they'd have something but you know what they say about assuming.
-
For the free ticketed autographing a poster will be provided. Thanks!
-
Thank you!
-
For the free ticketed autographing a poster will be provided. Thanks!
that's for all the free autographers?
-
has anyone gotten an email about what to do for autographing?
-
Not yet. Maybe they'll start going out around Noon?
-
still no emails
-
Which honestly is a problem for me. I don't have a copy of my printed ticket because I am part of the government furlough and im not allowed back at work. where it is. /huff
-
I received my emails for Chuck and TMNT but not for Teen Wolf or Hercules.
-
Not yet. Maybe they'll start going out around Noon?
I got an email yesterday saying emails will go out today.
"Thanks! You’ll receive an email tomorrow with more information"
However nothing today yet.
-
Actually spoke to soon ... I got an email giving the details for the TMNT signing at 2:57 pm PST.
-
Yeah the email will say you just need an ID to pick up the ticket--so that's good to know!
-
Woohoo!
-
Are there supposed to be any more giveaways? Asking as the Fox Fanfare press release mentions a Bob's Burgers signing at 4pm Friday along with The Following and Sleepy Hollow signings. If not, then I guess it'll be first come, first serve?
-
Their release probably should've been more specific about the signings. The Following was part of the giveaway/raffle that NYCC but Sleep Hollow is in the autograph area.
-

Yeah, it was a bit confusing. Maybe NYCC just hasn't updated their autograph listing for Bob's Burgers yet as they have for Cosmos and Sleepy Hollow.
