I had a great time as a runner last year. It's well done and worth the money in my opinion. We went early in the evening. It was dark, but the zombies weren't worn out. I also sold my WD 100 comic they gave out on eBay right away and that paid for the run and then some.

all this talk about this had reminded me about the comic which i still have, i just placed it on ebay lets see how much i get for it.

also ive noticed that this year there only doing it for two days friday and saturday, unlike last years which was a thursday-sunday, i guess they didnt sell enough tickets for those other days last time. but it looks like they extended it one extra hour. last year i was scheduled for the 9 o clock one didnt get in till almost 10.

A number of the UK Attendees Group did it last year and had an absolute blast. After seeing a number of YouTube clips, and Jonah Ray's run on Nerdist, that interest has increased. We're even thinking of doing it as a group thing, all in...!

I spectated the walking dead escape last year and the course didn't really seem that great to me.  This zombie run seems a lot better and more bang for the buck You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I did the Escape last year and it was pretty fun.  It was a Thursday night and pretty late, but I didn't think that the zombies were phoning it in.  They were told what they could and couldn't do.  I was expecting more zombies, though, and a few more obstacles.  Plus the way the course was set sort of forced people to have to 'run' through it.  Like the part with the Herd Highway felt sort of rushed for me.  They had a cool layout with all sorts of abandoned cars strewn about on one deck and a decent # of zombies lurking about.  Just before going in, escapees were stopped and sent in groups and we were told to 'sneak' through.  I thought it would have been more fun to have to dive under/around/in the cars but in the end, we just had to blitz through it.

As far as the spectator viewing points, I thought they were crap.  There were lots of spots that spectators couldn't see the action, and a couple of parts where I thought to myself that the spectator spot was just sort of pointless.

I loved the opening 'scene'--lots of tension!

I don't know if I'll do it again this year.  After fees, it's about $90, I'm not sure if they're going to change it a lot, and I don't have anyone who can watch my little one (unless someone in my group chooses not to do it).  I have a FB friend who is running the Philly course in April, who also did last year's SDCC one, so I'll get his feedback and then decide.

This would be so fun! and I know husband would love to do it as well, but it's so expensive! I don't think husband would do it for that much!

Had fun last year and was worth the $$$ IMO.  Not sure if going to be a walker this year or run it again.
