Conspiracy time! These last days it seems that onpeak is releasing rooms in blocks? almost each time a new hotel pops up it goes with 5+ rooms, maybe as the con gets closer we will get closer hotels too?

Hoping they release a block of MMM haha (though that didn't happen even last year). Just hoping for MGH right now.

Looking at the threads from last year and the year before, there were some big dumps around June 20-25.

Didn’t they pull out of the con list of hotels?
Fun isn’t something one considers when preparing for Comic-Con, but attending does put a smile on my face

They definitely were missing from the hotel list this year. No clue as to why, speculation was that they were booked by a company.

Eitherway, $369 is a... brave price... for the Bristol.

Well, Motel 6 is charging $440 a night.  At least the Bristol's rooms look like they get cleaned.

Hotels.com shows only 7 rooms available those nights.  Maybe those were personnel cancellations.

I took a look at the availability of some rooms on hotels.com and booking.com (where prices are much higher than OnPeak):

For all days
Hilton Gaslamp and MGH 30+
Indigo 18
Residence Inn Downtown Bayfront ~10

Saturday Night
Hard Rock - 5
HBF - 8+

Pure speculation here, but...

The closer we get to the con, if the hotels don't get reservations for those rooms, they might 'release' them to On-Peak for a 'lower' price.

Maybe an opportunity for those who have 'Nerves of Steel" .    :)

Surprisingly HBF is booked except for Saturday.  They are one of the hotels that always has high priced rooms outside of OnPeak

I think so as well, especially considering MGH still looks like it has a huge grip of empty rooms available on third-party sites and we've yet to see one of the late minute "drops" that have happened in the past.

That being said, with the steady stream of badge sales from CCI themselves, hotels may not need to be as competitive as they had been in the past years. I got stuck on waitlist duty for someone in my group (again) that didn't get an ideal placement but I'm not sure if I can handle the eternal refreshing much longer.
