Hi everyone on this board,
I wanted to truly thank you all and especially thank the moderators and big-wigs of this site. 2017 was another wonderful year for my wife and me and it wouldn't have been possible without the knowledge, contribution, teamwork and kindness of the people on these boards. We can never thank all of you enough for all that you guys do.

Ditto with a special shout out to TJ's husband Dave who was literally willing to give me the shirt off his back!

Yes, but it really does embody the spirit of the kind of people we are that join together to celebrate the simplest acts of kindness and selflessness that form the foundation of the mighty deeds of the heroes we worship. Thanks for the fun and for being just plain good people. I'm proud to be counted among you.

Resurrecting this thread to give a long overdue thank you to [member=7342]Antisocial[/member] and his family. They took time out of their very busy SDCC schedule to talk to me about Iceland and gave us a lot of great advice that really helped with our vacation. Takk fyrir!

Hi Mark, great to hear from you again! It was a pleasure to meet you, and I hope you guys had an awesome time in Iceland!
Visiting SDCC this year was very much a once-in-a-lifetime event for us, but that hasn't stopped me from starting to lay the groundwork to float the idea of a return visit next year once the returnee attendance info is out - even though we were lucky enough to have the chance to experience the four main days, it still feels like there was a lot more to do that we missed-out on when doing other things - surely a return visit for us next year is the only sensible option? :o
Thanks again Mark for getting in touch 8)

I find no flaws in that logic. And it's exactly how we feel about Iceland, although it'll probably take more than a year to get back.

[member=7342]Antisocial[/member] You've clearly been infected by the con experience! And yes, now you know why we all want to keep returning year after year! It can very easily become an addiction.
